Fair enough, but I was actually referring to last week when you questioned someone when they said we were about to announce a £70m loss.

The level of incompetence of our hierarchy appears to have no ceiling, so best not to be too confident that there won't be more sanctions going forward after we relegate!

Why shouldn’t it be questioned? I questioned it too and it wasn’t because of anything the club said so for me It wasn’t hard to think that it wouldn’t be as high as £70 million, we lost £19 million the season before and the independent commission said a mitigation measure was “a positive financial trend”

“That text is very likely to have been written by a human, or at least heavily edited by a professional communications team, rather than being generated purely by AI “from scratch.”

    Style and structure
    •    The passage reads like a careful, board-approved club statement: measured, repetitive in key phrases (“independent Commission… independent Appeal Board”), and deliberately bland in tone.
    •    AI-generated text often shows slightly more fluid transitions and more varied phrasing, whereas this is tightly controlled and formulaic, which is typical of in-house PR/legal drafting.”

Where is that stated ? The clubs announcement certainly doesn’t mention the PLs appeal

The Appeal Board also dismissed a challenge by the Premier League, which was limited to the Commission’s decision not to increase the sanction on the club as a result of its breach of the League’s rules regarding the late submission of its Annual Accounts.

There are only 2 positives to be taken from yet another missed opportunity.

    1. Daka scoring 2 goals could give him a bit of confidence. If he could get one or 2 more against Sheff Wed, he hopefully could have a little purple patch in the final games.

    2. Other than Blackburn, nobody else around us won.

We are running out of games though and these players have got to pull their fingers out and start playing to their full ability level. This league is shite and teams like Preston are utter fodder, so disappointing that we struggle to finish off such poor teams.

The two games that will determine our fate will be the game on Monday between Oxford & Portsmouth and our game against Portsmouth

Another ref issue today m was having booked the player for the foul on Daka, he still made Patson go off for 30 seconds. I thought that if the injury was a result of a booked foul, then the victim didn’t have to leave the pitch?

Correct, it was part of the rule changes that are now abused by the keeper needing treatment

100% red card. He bottled it as refs often do in this division.

He did, as soon as he played the advantage it took away the red card situation, the ref then doubled down his mistake by making Daka go off for 30 seconds when he shouldn’t have needed to

To win games you need to score goals, I have no idea where the goals are going to come from tbh ?

We don’t have the firepower to score the goals we will need to win 4 plus games, and despite a couple of clean sheets we will continue to concede. Mentality piss poor throughout. Only outcome therefore is relegation.

Scoring hasn’t been an issue, we are 12th in the table for Goals scored, we have only scored 2 less then 4th place Millwall,  the issue is we are 22nd in the table for goals conceded, 12th place QPR & Sheff Wednesday are the only teams to have conceded more

But let’s not pretend Vichai was a footballing genius. They way people go on about how they (KP/Vichai/Aiyawatt) ‘won’ us the league is nauseating. It is like it was them keeping Kasper/Simpson/Huth/Morgan/Fuchs’ clean sheets. Or they were dominating the midfield like Kante, turning defenders inside out like Mahrez or scoring Vardy’s goals….

Is anyone claiming that Vichai was a footballing genius? Multiple players have stated it was the things he did behind the scenes that we are 100% not privy to, the most they have said is the way he promoted unity and looked after the families

PL players who commend PL level wages probably cost around 200k between them a week which 10m a year.

Average wage in the PL was £65,000, with relegation clauses that figure surely comes down

  12. Seems there is actually a plan going forward

The Directors have also considered the Club’s cashflow requirements in a severe but

plausible scenario. Sensitivities considered in the forecasts included variances in finishing

position, net player transfer spend and the non availability of future banking facilities.

To cover the working capital needs of the Club in that scenario the Club has access to

£10m remaining undrawn elements of a five year loan facility with King Power International

in addition to an undrawn future share subscription agreement for 116m shares at £1 per

share entered into on 21 April 2024 and amended on 4th April 2025 which can be further

called on if necessary to support the Club’s cash flow in the unlikely event that all these

    negative events come to pass.

Based on the above the Directors therefore have a reasonable expectation that the

necessary funding will be available when required and the consolidated financial

statements have therefore been prepared on a going concern basis.

Stand by for a reported £70m loss on the year!

    You heard it here first!!

I'm sure it'll be all great though because their track record of being utter shit at everything doesn't matter.

Am I mistaken in thinking that in the 6 point deduction reasoning that it actually stated that our financial situation had improved, if that is correct then I cannot see it being a £70 million loss

What were the prices last time we were in League One, anyone remember?

I’ve found the announcement for 09/10 confirming a freeze from the previous season in prices so £275 was the early bird rate with increasing prices on certain dates

Leicester City today announced a freeze on season ticket prices for 2009/10 ... and unveiled a new package of benefits to attract more families, teenagers and children to the Walkers Stadium.

Irrespective of football in either League One or the Championship, City chairman Milan Mandaric has pledged to keep the price of watching football the same at this season's rates.

As part of the club's commitment to a special supporter-focussed 125th anniversary, City also outlined a series of creative packages designed to deliver affordable family football at the Walkers Stadium.

Adult season ticket prices start from £275, which equates to less than £12 per match, with prices for a new category of under 18 season ticket slashed to just £125.

Chairman Milan Mandaric said: "We have enjoyed marvellous support and this is our way of saying thank you to our loyal fans.

"Our season ticket prices continue to compare very favourably with other clubs of similar stature and size.

"Next season is going to be very special as it is the club's 125th anniversary. We are determined that the whole Leicester family is able to enjoy that.

"We have taken the decision that, irrespective of which division we are competing, prices will not increase for our existing season ticket holders.

"Indeed, in the case of some of our younger supporters, we have introduced categories of season ticket which make it cheaper for some age groups and for families next season.

"We want to encourage more family members to support the Club together and we will happily reward this with price incentives.

"Our Direct Debit facility has also been extended, offering supporters the opportunity to spread the cost of their Season Tickets over up to 12 months.

"We are doing everything possible to ensure that being a season ticket holder here is as affordable as possible."

The under 16 season ticket has now been expanded to under 18s at a special price of £125 for the season - to commemorate the club's 125th anniversary. This represents a substantial reduction on existing under 16 season ticket prices, which ranged from £130-£170.

New adult and child season ticket packages are also being unveiled for the first time to help encourage generations of City fans - with prices starting from £270 for an adult and child sitting together.

The Club also hopes to engage the local Student population, with a series of initiatives planned for next season.

City's 11,500 season ticket holders have until March 15 to reserve their seat and renew at existing prices.

After this date prices will increase by five per cent up to April 30. There is an additional 10 per cent increase after this date.

The Sports Bar at the stadium will also become a season ticket holders only facility and an upgrading of facilities and services are planned for Family Club members.
