If your serious about it gamblings can't be done on a part time basis. The thing i like about laying is the fact if you have a 15 runner race you have 14 other runners on your side, where as if you backing you have 14 runners to beat...agree with the american racing its the same with south african racing as well, you can see a 1/2 shot that in reality over here would be around 16/1 and great profit can be made! Yep the software was shoddy i would pay a quid tho to just watch some of the banter, when you waiting for someone to press play and someone would start saying ..."goodluck your gonna fackin need it" used to make me piss

I used to play on the betfair poker until they changed it all around I really enjoyed the £1 games 10 players round the table and the amount of tw*ts that were on there thinking they were something special made me p*ss , end of the day if they were that good why the hell were they playing £1 games Laying favourites is dangerous, unless you can get out in running, the gruss software is great for that as you can watch your profits and loss in running and because you can set the timer to 0.5 sec compared to betfairs 3 sec delay its a great help, I would strongly suggest a download and play of the program...if you want linkage giz a shout!

It's just about looking for value, and knowing which races to lay. If I play to win say £100-£200 a day, you sometimes have good days and you sometimes have bad days, but if your patient and watch the 'in-running' betting to minimise your loss (if you know how well the horse is running) then you'll do ok. For example if I lay a horse @ evens before the off to loose £150 (So thats to win £75 on that race) and in running it seems to be coasting I will say stand to loose £75 rather than the full amount, on the other hand if i see the horse under the kosh and being ridden heavy (i.e. jockey looks like he's sh*gging the thing like he's been inside for 5 years and aint had none for a while) then I may lay it a lil bit more - or I may even decide to back it at bigger odds to guarantee me profit on any horse that wins (incase of any fallers)

I only lay horses, usually to loose a maximum of around £200-300 per race

The 3:35 was the ulster grand national wasn't it? That horse won pulling a bus if i remember rightly, I stayed away from that race as the betting was to wide!

There's alot of racing today, my pick of the meetings would be in NAd Al Sheba where Godolphin are bringing out 'Discreet Cat' in a trial run for the Dubai World Cup (The world's richest race for those who don't know) on the 31st of march. I'm going to be laying him today because Godolphin have been in terrible form over in UAE and he concedes a 7lb penalty to his 15 other rivals! So my lays for today will be (bare in mind I wont be laying anything over 5/2 on the exchanges) Where there is no horse listed I will be laying the favourite at time of off and post my results! Tell you what in the morning i will type the races I will be laying for the day...I wont be touching the All Weather Meeting, the horse may change at time of off depending which is favourite at the time... Hopefully we can both make profit

Ended £150 up on the day....I choose races I bet on I only bet on The full Irish card go in pretty big on mares and fillies Handicaps and chases. I stay away from novice hurdles, selling and maidens (unless the favourite is a filly or a mare and i may go in a little) Also if they look like winning then ill try and minimise my losses in running

In the long run the layer will always get your money, i've seen punters take about 10 grand off us in a cpl of weeks but we'll eventually get it back of him! you know the saying 'You never see a bookie riding a bike!'
