First ever play off game but no idea other than perhaps trying to give a little more of a chance to Charlton for a reasonably good season as opposed to our dreadful one.

Same can be said about FA cup semi finals, no neutral ground and why did they need a play off in the first place, 3 up 1 down was the same outcome anyway.

We got what we deserved in the end, Charlton were poor, they were beaten 1-5 at home by West Ham in the cup, hadn’t won in 6 going into yesterday and had a 3 week break. They were on their knees in the 2nd half of AET but we still didn’t punish them.

Ah I thought it was like the Scottish play-off finals wuth a home and away.

Hull thinking they should get direct promotion is a stretch.

You could say that if southampton are kicked out then Wrexham should take their place and a replay should happen to determine who plays hull. But then that implies hull should have played middlesborough home and away first.

We can't have endless scenarios so something has to give.

Just play the game and win it.

The game should be postponed though. Not fair on Hull having to prepare for both teams at short notice, when both of the other teams can prepare solely for Hull. They deserve more prep. time.

Do we know all these have definitely gone? I know their contracts have expired, and we have no money, but....it's Leicester we're talking about! None likely to be offered a contract? Has the club formally said thanks?

  4. Wetherby. Yes it's 70% Leeds, 10% Harrogate, 10% big six, 9.99% York, but there are at least two unconnected, unrelated, Leicester fan families in addition to mine. Up the Foxes!

In reality big six is probably a higher percentage sadly 🙄

Pleased for him but I don't want any legends having their legacies tainted by coming back to this swamp.

Yes, we need to be able to sing "(insert surname) out."

We don't want anything from the title win involving any of the players to go downhill, and ruin their legacy.

Let's face it, it probably will go pear-shaped at Leicester, so let's not taint the legacy.

It's why Shearer never took the job at Newcastle. In fact he did for a few games, but not enough to tarnish anything.

We need to be able to hurl abuse.

  6. I can't seem to find a list with odds that's consistent. I've seen a couple online, (which I won't name) and they differ greatly, and to the extent that they are meaningless. The favourite in one list, (Darren Ferguson) doesn't appear at all in the other, and neither list includes Gary Rowett. Surely he'd attract some odds.

Personally, I think Mark Robbins would be a good appointment.

I'm saying I could not support a phoenix club because the passion was imprinted as a child to Leicester, so I would effectively end up supporting no one

But I have moved away, so it may be different to people still living in Leicester where the phoenix club is at least still there local club

Yes, I do agree with you. That's where my mind is at the moment.

To me it'd be the same club. I'm sure Rangers is to Rangers fans and Fiorentina to Fiorentina fans. If there is a phoenix club and it's recognised as the successor it will be to all intents and purposes Leicester City. Its history will be bound to the current club and even of it doesn't inherit the accolades, which it may, it will be the moral owner of them, much like AFC Wimbledon is now (a fact complicated in their case by the old club still technically existing).

Unless you're too bothered by the legal ins-and-outs of when a business itself was technically founded, it'll still be your club. Key names from its history will be there in the rebirth. The colours, the fans, maybe in time even the stadium will be the same.

For those of us who say football is about the fans, not the business, or say it doesn't matter what league you're in, you still support your team, then here's a chance, perhaps, to walk the walk.

And, on top of all that, it would be something totally new, a fascinating journey and a chance to get things right we once got wrong. It will generate unprecedented excitement and coverage for non-league football and, best of all, may even be a quicker path back to the big-time than wallowing for years in the lower leagues under Top.

It's not what I want to happen, but if it does, I'm totally up for it.

I'm still struggling with whether it would be the same club for me. If it happens, hopefully I'll sort it.

    I agree with you.

As a Leicester Fan that moved away, I support the club from where I was brought up.
I support the team that were the first team I supported

I heard my first swear words in the Kop at Filbert Street

I queued up around filbert street for Wembley

I witnessed my parents and school fall out over me having the afternoon off to travel to Old Trafford to watch us get thrashed in the cup and still loved every minute of it

A new club would just be a new club, if I was going to adopt a new club I could just move my support to a local team, but my History is with Leicester City regardless of the turmoil we are currently in and unfortunately it always will be

I also feel that the players don't have the passion they use to which is why we are being desensitised to football, even Rowett said relegation hits the fans harder than the players - I just don't think many modern footballers have the fight in them

I think I agree with you, but I'm not sure. Are you saying you could give backing to the idea of a phoenix club, or it just wouldn't be Leicester City and have the history that you associate with the club, and therefore it's a non-starter for you, i.e. rather support no-one than FC Leicester Rovers?

OK you said you want them gone.

So how,. What's your opinion on how this very much needed result is actually achieved?

I agree with you, i can't wait until 'Cvnt Top' and KP, the current regime as you called it, is finally gone.

You must have a view on what needs to be done?

It's difficult. I don't think we can bankrupt the club though. I don't have a suggestion.

I think you're missing the point. The problem is that the money you pay for that goes back in Top and Rudkin's pot for running the football club which has been beyond abysmal. Top is so arrogant/ignorant, that he will not make meaningful change, so your hard earned money is going to not just be wasted, but likely used to further our financial plight from the signing of crap players on over inflated wages. Top doesn't care 1 bit about this football club so they only way some of us can get the message across, it to hit him in his pockets.

I do totally empathise with the situation with younger children though

Let's go bust then, and have done with it. No more club. Watch snooker instead.

If you have supported the club since 74 then you must be fond of gardening so try this. If you had some Japanese Knotwood growing in your garden, would you prune it each year and douse it in fertiliser or would you try and remove it by the root? Putting money into their pockets is giving them a big thumbs up to carry on this $hitte$t of $hit shows.

I presume you mean knotweed, but, patronising.

I've said I want the current regime gone. Not sure what else I can say.

I am also happy to wear Leicester merch., stick my Leicester towel on my sunbed this summer etc. If you're too embarrassed to do that, I'm sorry for you.

No one is going to be abuse you for buying the new shirt, a lot of people just don't understand why fans rush out and buy the new one every year. The quality will be crap, the sponsor will be bordering on illegal again, it will be yet another generic design, incredibly overpriced as always and will represent one of our lowest points in history.

Completely understand that fans want to wear a shirt to the game but could you not wear a retro shirt from the 90's for instance? Great shirts, great teams, local sponsor. Surely you'll have more pride wearing that paying £80 for the honour of advertising BC Game?

You're missing my original point. I was arguing against the fact that I was being told it was wrong to be in the club shop last night.

YOUR football club with the badge on it is being ran into the ground by full blown idiots. We’re all passionate about LCFC, hence the debate on a Leicester City football forum. I don’t blame anyone for buying things for kids from the club shop, that is totally up to you. But personally for me, now is not the time to be promoting this club to anybody until this ownership is gone. Top hasn’t put any money into our club for YEARS. I assume you will be someone that will shake his hand given the chance.

Wrong. I want him gone! However, now more than ever I want people to know I support Leicester, as I have done since '74. To pretend we don't exist until we're good again adds weight to those who think our support is made up of 2016 bandwaggon jumpers. The club is bigger than Top  Rudkin, you and I.

Didn’t realise he’s only 27. Would be really great if we could find a way to keep him for one year

As per many/most of the squad, we can't afford to keep him.

I don’t think anyone genuinely wants the club to go bust. It’s the frustration that this ownership/Rudkin are purposely throwing our club into oblivion. Now is not the time to be lining their pockets. Get it from China for less than half the price.

Nothing to do with money/cost. You're missing the point.

It's about personal investment in the club you support, not financial investment. It's about still being passionate and proud to wear something with our name on it, (not Top's name). To be told it's wrong to be purchasing club merchandise is just wrong. In the process of purchasing, I'd rather it support the club financially than not, but as I say, it's not about money, it's about being criticised and frowned upon for wearing the club name and colours.

  17. I can't believe that some on this forum actually want to see the club go bust. I'm all for the peaceful protests, but it's still the club I support and have done for longer than I care to remember.

To criticise fans for going in the club shop tonight is a difficult one for me. If that's seen as supporting Top and therefore inappropriate, I can't agree.

My grandson wanting a bar scarf, like I had at his age, (and still have). I'm not explaining no to him. Let me know now if I'm going to be abused next season for being seen in the new shirt, so I can prepare myself. I want THIS club, not some tin pot phoenix club. Nah, too far!

The only result i will accept is automatic promotion.

What, with an admin. points deduction very much on the cards?

If by some miracle we avoid that, we'll have inexperience going up against physical seasoned pro's.

I hope you get what you want, but I've a feeling you won't, and the current things we know about support that.
