I don't know were people keep getting this 12000 figure from, there was clearly far more than that attending. You only had too use your own eyes to see that, obviously wasn't  27,000 the club said either. I would estimate somewhere roughly in the middle 18 to 19000.

The bloke a I spoke to ( and trust me, he should know) said it was definitely around 12,000.

  2. Spoke to a chap who works at King Power. He said that although 27,000 tickets were sold (vast majority season tickets), the actual attendance on Monday was actually around 12,000. Worrying.

  3. I recently spoke to a chap who is directly affected by this. Payroll dates were apparently all over the place, so it made sense to unify them. He was very annoyed that they were given one day notice of the change. He also reckoned that Christmas is not a big holiday in Thailand, hence King Power was not fully aware of the ramifications.

Someone will probably tell me I'm wrong but I think the solution to whole PSR bollocks is if leagues brought in a salary cap like the American sports

The reason salary caps work in America is because the sports are basically unique to America, hence no real competition. If UK had a salary cap, then players would simply move to other European/Saudi leagues.

So why did we sign three players for large fees and sell no first teamers in the summer of 2021?

I think he gave Rudkin more authority who in turn was persuaded by Rodgers not to sell any stars.

  6. I still maintain Covid played a key role in our demise. As a business, King Power was uniquely affected by Covid. It was therefore inevitable that ‘energy’ was primarily focused on saving its core business (duty free).

Consequently, the manager, DOF,…….had more control/responsibility in managing the club and a litany of appalling decisions were made. As a club we are still trying to clean up the mess.

What I find most disturbing is that the owners appear to not only be incapable of sorting out the mess (senior management sackings), but exasperating the situation.

    I fear dark times ahead.

Which is why splashing out now would be the right decision surely. Stay up breaking the rules..  extra cash in the bank and a points deduction.. go down and have some assets to sell or help us bounce back

Atm we are going down.. probably lose half the squad, be stuck with the crap. Mads and bilal to leave at a cut price as we're desperate for cash so only minimal profit off them.. fine, deduction and maybe an embargo .. sounds good

I agree. Although I imagine there’s a major issue in persuading players to come to us. We could try to buy championship level players, but I’m not RVN would be on board with this.

We’re in a very weird position. Accepting we’re most probably relegated, but trying to persuade premier league quality players we’re still and will remain a Prem club!!!!!!

We were a attractive prem club only 2 years ago.  Its about picking gems, gambling and having a strategy.  Nige's time we got Mahrez, and Knockhaert, we expanded under puel amd got Tielemens.  Where are these gems now...,....where is the strategy today.  Top is the boss, sort it.

That was two years ago. We are currently a promoted club that will most probably be face a significant points deduction.

This situation isn’t unique to us. The majority of promoted clubs find it hard to attract good players, hence most relegated. Occasionally you’ll find a couple of gems, but it’s not the norm.

Agreed, a really poor window for us.  Our relegation team would smash this crop.  We have gone so far backwards.  Our recruitment, which under Puel was great is as an effective as the poonjabi drunks in my local.  Top needs to really show something, were gonna be a yo yo honey Singh club.

I don’t think you can compare Puel’s recruitment to our current recruitment. When Puel was manager, we were an established Premiership team, which inevitably attracted better players/wages.

Traditionally, there a significant distinction between Manager and head coach. The later implies a sporting director.

My concerns on O'Hare are he's not quick enough. He's got a very good first touch and ability to twist and turn but you need extra at the highest level.

I also cannot stand the lad but suppose that could change.

Would much prefer Jack Rudoni from Huddersfield who's very similar in style to KDH.

My father-in/law is a Cov fan and says O’Hare lacks the pace that is needed in the Prem.
