  1. I’ve steadily lost interest with the club (and football in general) but the starting point of my declining interest was the year after we won the prem, when I saw our heroic and miraculous title winning players, could no longer be arsed, to the extent that relegation looked likely before Claudio’s sacking. What made that worse, although it was great in other ways, was the effort they were able to put into our Champions League run. Point being that players who were very capable, just couldn’t be bothered, and I’d argue that’s been most of this club’s problem ever since then - capable people that just aren’t trying hard enough, and simply don’t care.
  2. Genuine question, does anyone else watch us play nowadays and literally think to themselves “why do I bother?” For me football has become so monotonously boring that I’d say it’s in the same category as watching Emmerdale, or maybe Love Island. I think today was a perfect example of that, but this season I think most of the games have also been example of that. I’ve been a season ticket holder for 25 years. Why do we still bother? Aside from the fact I’m somehow apparently meant to feel very strong and passionate emotions about this lacklustre, boring, repetitive game?
