  1. Obviously not what I meant but fair play 😂
  2. I would agree, however the problem with looking back is that the league has moved on in the last couple of years. Most teams employ a high press now and our passing and movement just isn't good enough at the moment to beat it. And that's not to mention the confidence required to play in such a way which we just don't have right now for obvious reasons. I don't necessarily want to us to mimic Man United in the exact style that they play, but to have a manager who is humble enough to realise what he is doing isn't working and that he needs to move with the times.
  3. Here me out... It seems that a lot of our current problems are similar to those experienced by Man United at the start of the season. 1. Manager wanting to play a certain way but doesn't have the players for it or the players don't have the confidence to play that way. 2. Conceding turnovers and high quality chances cheaply. Huge gaps due to losing the ball in transition and poor recovery runs. 3. Frequently changing players and/or formations. As a result, players not knowing their roles and losing confidence. 4. Fullbacks not knowing whether to press/attack or hold position leading to them being caught out of position. 5. Ineffective CB pairing with one CB error prone. 6. Blame culture and losing their heads when they concede or make an error. 7. Having a CB as captain in a defensively poor team. It seems that we could (if Brendan walks or miraculously develops some humility) copy some of the fixes that Ten Haag has employed to great effect. 1. Recognise the limitations of our GKs, accept that confidence is low, and stop trying to build out from the back. 2. Employ a compact mid block with high press and direct counter attack. Defend as a compact 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 with wingers fully tracking opposition fullbacks. 3. Stick to one formation and drop players from the starting 11 who are low on confidence or do not fit the style we want to employ. Maguire, Fred and Ronaldo (previous staples of the squad) have all be dropped and could be seen as equivalent to Amartey, KDH and Vardy. 4. Play with traditional fullbacks who's job is mainly defensive, keeping in line with CBs and tracking opposition wingers. 5. Play a CB pairing of 2 proper CBs. I have a horrible feeling we will sell/loan him, but we should start reintroducing Söyüncü. He works well alongside Evans and freezing talented players out of the squad only makes the dressing room more toxic. 6. Pick a starting back 4 and stick with it. Make the whole team's primary job defending so that they celebrate every successful tackle/block/interception instead of chastising every mistake. 7. It does not make sense to be putting more pressure on Evans than he is already under. Make Maddison (like Fernandes) our captain and tie him down to a longer contract. We will lose Tielemans for free next summer and Maddison will only have a year left on his contract. Financially, we can't afford to lose any more players cheaply. My starting XI vs Man United's: Iversen (De Gea) Castagne (Dalot) Evans (Varane) Faes/Söyüncü (Martínez) Justin (Malacia) Ndidi (McTominay/Casemiro) Tielemans (Eriksen) Pérez/Iheanacho (Sancho) Maddison (Fernandes) Barnes (Elanga/Anthony) Daka (Rashford) Regular subs: Vardy, Albrighton, KDH, Soumaré, Praet Player for player, you can see that our squad is comparable (not a million miles off) United's and we don't in fact need a big 'refresh' as claimed by BR. We already have a great squad that is being underutilised and is massively underperforming. Confidence is low and the manager needs to walk or take a massive slice of humble pie.
  4. Yep and it's all Puel's fault, what an awful signing
  5. Fun fact, these were his first PL assists of the season. He only has one other and that was in the FA Cup. Hopefully these 'misleading' stats put off the bigger teams from signing him...
  6. Even if you've watched Said in 3 or 4 performances towards the end of the season, it's still pretty fickle. So, let's compare him to our own left-sided right-footed winger who was prolific in the Championship last year: In 2019/20: Harvey Barnes (in all comps): Age = 22, Goals = 7, Assists = 8, Goal contributions per 90 = 0.63 Said Benrahma (in all comps, Playoffs not included): Age = 24, Goals = 17, Assists = 9, Goal contributions per 90 = 0.61 Harvey had one assist wrongly attributed to him. However, we can safely assume Said probably had similar. Even with Harvey's pretty woeful finishing he has a higher GCp90 in a harder league. Said also scored 4 penalty goals this season - an opportunity he would not get here as Vardy is the PK taker. He is also a hot and cold player, in the 47 games he played this season, he contributed to goals in only 16 of these (not contributing in 31 appearances), often contributing multiple times in single matches, and in games were the win was already secured. If Leicester want Said, he is probably a sound investment due to his age, and the club will not pay over the odds for him. However we need other positions more and Said would also take playing time away from Barnes. His YouTube highlights real looks quality though, so GERIMIN!
  7. The word snowflake means easily offended or overly emotional... nothing at all like our fans being so upset that they're losing, that they throw crude insults as a result... I don't think anybody is saying that all of their fans/players are lovely people, but what the hell does all this nonsense have to do with football. We could have sang any number of chants or boasted about having won the prem', or even cheered on our own team... but instead they throw crude insults that have no relation to football, just because they're upset that they're losing. They're the real "snowflakes". This post was started to state that we as real Leicester fans don't share the views of this minority, but clearly we do...
  8. Hmm I'm not sure to be fair, I thought we had 38 at Christmas and lost to Liverpool on boxing day. Still, unbelievable time to be a foxes fan, let's get behind them properly.
  9. So far, we have one more point than in 2015/16, and are still in the league cup. Just speaking objectively, not emotionally, on which I agree with you. Our support in 2015/16 was amazing and certainly helped get them over the line in several games. Need to get behind them properly again, even if (especially when) they are playing poorly.
  10. Nope, you just made a Leicester team who are having their best ever season feel like sh*t. Top quality supporter.
  11. Yes, that's correct. But that's because left wing politics is so disjointed. If you are right-wing, you generally vote Tory. If you are left-wing, you have more choice, especially if you don't like Corbyn. If you add up the votes, its still pretty close to 50-50, left vs right (left takes it). Basically, Boris is very lucky that Labour kept Corbyn.
  12. You didn't, no, you just implied it. I'm not the one that needs to dry their eyes... You're the one sh*t scared that your antiquated views on what constitutes a healthy rivalry - that you share with similar bastions - will be dead within a few years. I, for one, am very happy.
  13. I hope the irony of you saying "bore off with political nonsense" then continuing to talk about Boris and The Sun isn't lost on you. Have a nice day, I'm off to learn how to read.
