Liverpool fan here to give my two cents on Lallana. First of all he is not a Congerton signing for people who are claiming it to be. He is someone Rodgers has known for a long time and someone who he really pushed for us to sign when we brought him in, so if you are going for him now then it is because of Rodgers not Congerton. Secondly for those mentioning that he hasn't played much for Liverpool, you only have to see the players we have playing right now to see why he is not getting a look into the squad at the moment. A quick look at the Transfermarket website will show you that his last major injury came in 2018 and ever since outside for a few minor injuries keeping him out for a game or two, he was mostly fit throughout 2019 and has been so far this year too. Then why doesnt he play more for us? People have this image that he is injury prone and past his best, which is why he doesnt play for us anymore. The reality is that when Klopp came in first, he picked out Lallana as the prime example of the perfect pressing machine he wanted, and if you rewatch some of our highlights from the 2016/17 season you will see he was head and shoulders above every CM we had at the time bar Coutinho. I remember watching our preseason game against Barca that season and was awestruck by how Lallana was constantly zipping past their players, pressing them every time they got the ball, making runs that I didnt think anyone else could make besides Coutinho in our team at the time, and this was against Barca, not your regular league 1 team. I really thought Lallana was going to be the torch bearer for the kind of style Klopp wanted and for a time it did look like it. Sadly injury hit midseason and Coutinho left which forced Klopp to change his style, and after that 2018 CL final we were no longer that constant pressing machine that Lallana was key to. The way we play right now, having technically gifted players like him or Coutinho is more of a liability to the team than an advantage, but nonetheless whenever he has played, he has given his all for us, and should we finish the season unbeaten we will have him to thank for it because of that equaliser at United to save us from losing. I do think he will be a really good signing for you all and he will bring a lots of experience to that squad too. Rodgers knows him well, and Lallana knows how to play his style so it works out for both parties. Not to mention he will have the hunger to prove himself in the league again.

As a Liverpool fan, I have to say my biggest concern between us and the title is you guys. Even before the season I was cautious about you guys because I knew BR was back with a point to prove and all you needed was a really good coach to get the best out of your squad. Media still pegs Manchester City as our title contenders but I think they might be past it this season. I dont know how the title will end up in the end, but for those people who are saying that we will slow down and become complacent just because City are 14 points behind are wrong. If it was any other club which had won the title recently then it might be true for them, but given its been a 30 year wait for us, I think our players will be focused until the very end, especially because they came so close last season. Not to mention, we have dropped the title 3 times after being top at christmas, dont think anyone one of us wants that again. Having said that, just want to congratulate you guys on where you are because I like BR as a manager, and I like how you have built your club up. Your owners (RIP Vichai) remind me of how our owners helped build us, and thats why I like you guys, your team seems more organic, than the artificial ones that United or City play. My Arsenal/United/Spurs supporting friends laughed when I said that you would make it to top 4 and they might miss out , but week by week your team keeps proving me right. I hope BR stays for another 2-3 years at least so he can create a legacy and help breakup the top 6 to a top 7 instead.

also the point isn't that the challenges were similar, but that in both cases players got injured, and that could have a huge impact on our title challenge, just like it did back then when we ended up missing Suarez for the next game in that 2013/14 season. Klopp is a very emotional guy, and I can see why he was incensed about it, especially after even a 97 point season could not win him the title. Just imagine if someone had challenged Vardy like that in your title winning season and ask yourself if you wouldn't be angry at the guy who made the challenge? There is a 30 year wait for this title in Liverpool, supporters are on edge about everything that could put another dent in that wait. But that still does not excuse the racial abuse being dished out by some idiots out there wearing our jersey.

When I say get on with it, I mean for both sets of supporters. The liverpool supporters giving abuse to Hamza, and the leicester supporters going on about Klopp. It is a 38 match season and we have only played 8 games till now. No need to drag and issue out when everyone will have forgotten about it in 2 weeks by the time international break is over. I have no intention to fight you guys, I just find it weird that both sets of supporters are getting so hung about it when the incident in question has no bearing on how both our seasons end. It is manager's job to defend their players no matter what, I have seen Rodgers do it for us all those times Skrtel was fouling players and costing us penalties all over the place too. And honestly it used to make me happy when I would see Skrtel making illegal challenges on other players and Rodgers would come out and defend him every time it would happen. Get on with the season and stop wasting your time on this incident. I hate how the media plays it out and we supporters eat up all the drama. Focus on the football and your season because you guys are doing well. Keep playing well and it won't just be Klopp singling your players but every manager who gets uncomfortable when they play against you guys.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/nov/23/brendan-rodgers-kevin-mirallas-luis-suarez-liverpool-everton ^ For the people saying Rodgers has never done it. Theres another headline out there today of him singling out Robertson for starting the brawl with Perez. Not saying that he was wrong to do so, or that klopp was right to say what he did, but every manager does this. When Suarez was at Liverpool, some opposition team manager would ask for a red on him almost every week, or single him out as a racist every week to the point that he was getting abused by all clubs we played. This is a part of football, and sadly it can be disgusting. I think the managers defending their players in situations like these is the right thing to do. The only thing I condemn is the racist abuse that Hamza is getting because he does not deserve that, no matter how bad the tackle was, and the Liverpool fans who are racially targeting him make me sick, and I do not associate with them. The game is over, get on with it. This game imo was the one which scared me the most because I think you guys are the only team besides City in the league that inflict damage on us, and I am really not looking forward to the return game in December. Also for the people referring to all the nonsense on RAWK, there is a reason I am more often on this forum than that. Not because I dont like my club, but because when your club becomes so big, you get a lot dumb new fans who join in looking for instant wins, these people dont care about football and just care getting instant results. Many of them are just their to have bragging rights on other teams and look down on them. There are many decent people on there but many idiots too. The same goes for whether you go onto the MU, City, Arsenal forums too.

Honestly, this is what I feel will happen. He is a similar coach to Poch in the sense that they are both good at having their players reach their potential, and I think when he saw Leicester, he saw a chance to do what Spurs did by breaking the established top 4, and I think he believes that he has the ability and the team to do the same too. I also believe that once top 4/6 is achieved with you guys, he might look to move abroad to gain some more experience so that by the time he does come back for a top job here, he will have a bulletproof CV that the english media wont be able to attack. The reason that British managers at big english clubs are attacked again and again is because there is a widespread notion that they are inferior to european managers. This might be true, but I feel like Rodgers is an exception, and he can break the wheel in a way, but he needs to make a gradual progression towards it and not jump around at every opportunity. At Liverpool he was always compared to European managers and shown in a negative light. If he takes a big job now then he would get the same taunts from the media, but if he were to goto say Leipzig and win the Bundesliga or something and then come back to take over a big team here and should things not work out, the media will shift the narrative and will be more like "you have such a great manager, the problem is the club not him". After his Liverpool experience he knows how important it is to walk into the right project. Leicester for the time being are the right project from him.

Liverpool fan here. My 2 cents on this is that I don't see him leaving you guys this season. He has done a tremendous job since he came in and right now despite the "allure of a big club like spurs" (which honestly they are not), I think he can see that all these clubs have been failing for a few seasons now and no matter whether he goes to Spurs or United or Chelsea, he will have a huge rebuilding task ahead of him, something he already knows how tough it is from his time at Liverpool. His strong point is in taking over teams which already have most of the players he needs, thats why he was successful at Swansea, Celtic and now with you guys after Puel basically assembled his squad for him. But when it came to a complete overhaul at Liverpool, he was a little out of depth and that showed. I think he will take his chance with Leicester and see how far he can take them. And if he makes it to CL with you guys then he is staying. The only scenario I see him leaving Leicester is if any of the european clubs came in for him. He has always said that he wants to coach abroad, and a club from Germany or Spain, would probably be more appealing for him. After his experience with us, I doubt he wants to see as much criticism levelled at him, and playing in those countries would be a safer option as it will be away from the english media. He will probably take over Leipzig/Dortmund/Sevilla/Valencia before he takes over at spurs. Also dont like this talk of Spurs being a big club when they have repeatedly failed to win the league despite having being given good chances. Leicester on the other hand can be considered a big club since you guys actually went and won a title. And another title might be far off, but I still see this squad as having the potential to break the top 4-6. This team has become my second team of sorts since the title win (I love an underdog story), and I am really hoping come next summer you guys are third. This could be your chance to do what City and Spurs did with the top 4 and I would love nothing more than to see it happen, and I think that might be on Rodgers's mind too.
