I also agree the linesmen were a joke, and the fourth official. However I think that was because the ref was making such a pigs ear of the game and it was getting so out of control that the pressure of that and the anger from the stands just saw the other officials buckle under the pressure. If a referee is incapable of the management of a game of football then whether they know the rules of the game or not is irrelevant. Like others have said; if you read around the net on this referee we are not the only team who have witnessed this guys shortcomings as a referee. It's fine putting in a faultless performance in a straightforward game, but last night saw a Boro team show up to foul, kick, push, elbow and spoil our play, and it needed a strong referee to lay the law down early to draw a line under it. He failed to, and it descended into a chaos he never recovered from.

You can guarantee this idiot is going to report us to the FA and get his blow in first. Two players booked for dissent and the manager sent off. He is bound to tell the FA we were the problem to try and cover his own arse. This 'referee' should be suspended immediately pending investigation.

Maybe an unwise move making this public. If he drops a clanger later expect a torrent!

It's not my place to make that public. You may have no respect for his family but I do. However the whole sickly endless minutes silence and tributes thing after his death for me was way over the top. Poor old Gary Abblett died so young of illness but no one gave a monkey's. Speed took his own life and left his family to pick up the pieces, I have little sympathy with that, but we've been over all this before. Now please... go and use your ample keyboard warrior skills on some 12 year old that gives a ****.

I am informed by someone inside Football circles the probable reason for his decision to hang himself is known. I can only assume that out of respect for his wife and kids this information is not being given publicly, as I also understand some media outlets are also aware. I am party to the information and will also not be sharing it for the same reasons. I would imagine somewhere along the line someone will spill the beans for financial gain.

I am diagnosed with depression like many other people, I have health reasons for my depression. Most depression has a trigger, it's not something that just comes upon you with no apparent cause. Like I said before, it's the family and kids I feel so sorry for that their Dad could not be strong enough for them to deal with whatever demons and dark places he was experiencing. I suppose in the fullness of time whatever was going on will come out.

I think Stringer is worried for his job, and rightfully so. If my memory serves me right Pearson got the hump with him because Stringer made a jibe about Pearson not getting up from the dug out to get involved when Pearson had a slipped disc in his back. Next game Stringer was on gardening leave and in the away end at WBA
