Baffles me how Potter is so highly rated on here.. • Boring side ways football • The man himself has as much charisma as a scotch egg • He complained that Brighton fans should stop telling the players to take a shot • failed at Chelsea (can let him off on that I suppose) Obviously it’s a game of opinions but personally I think a lot of fans would prefer the team to get the ball up the pitch as fast possible. Why take 3 or 4 passes when you can do it one pass. Last season proved this for me. Promotion seasons are meant to be really enjoyable. It just wasn’t. on that basis I hope we go with someone who doesn’t play this style of play
-
Agreed. The highlight reels may look good but to watch the whole game in the style of play is so tedious
-
You make some valid points. Agree we need to be able to adapt to teams we play
-
You’re talking about points alone. Put this current side in that league back then, we wouldn’t have accumulated the same amount of points. I’m talking about the quality
-
Exactly this! It also destroys character and freedom of creative players. Prime example was Ronaldinho being shunned from Barcelona under Pep all those years ago. And in recent years the likes of Mahrez and Grealish being way more entertaining players before they joined Man City. mad thing is copycat managers can even get relegated playing this style and still be considered a good couch after. Look at Kompany
-
No clue what you’re going on about fella
-
This is the premier league son. He’s currently managing in the worst championship I’ve seen. It’s not the same league as it was ten years ago, where you couldn’t make the mistakes us and Southampton have this season and still gone up. If the club had any sense now it would scrap the tippy tappy rubbish and appoint a manager that will make us hard to beat
-
This.. 🙌 Bang on the money, son!
-
Apart from his recruitment, Puel was awful. No need to rewrite history. Football snobs will put possession football on this high pedestal but they’re talking tosh. If we had not gone down the Brighton model after Shakey was sacked, we would have got top four finish’s in that period.
-
No to RVN, Potter, and any other plastic Pep! We’ve had 7 years of this tippy-tappy rubbish. It’s no coincidence the atmosphere at the KP (on the whole) has dropped dramatically in that time. Think the fan base need a reality check and stop being sheep to this silly trend of ‘the modern way’. The notion that the game has moved on is the biggest myth in football. There’s plenty of ways to win a football game. Always has been and always will be. Bring in Moyes or Pearson Either one would give us the best chance of staying up under the financial constraints and points deduction

Sarri playing Kante out of position is criminal. Completely wasted there. Still hope Chelsea make top 4 because of there transfer ban. less real competition for our players to be taken for playing CL football -

What a performance! I wouldn't swap our squad for AFC or Uniteds players. Top 6 is a real possibility for next season. Especially if we strengthen well in the summer. Sign Tielemans and get drinkwater on the cheap as back up. CM ✅ A quality striker is a must. Too many squad players we've bought for that position, in the past. Time to bring in some real quality with pace/mobility. Even a player to play up front with vardy like that relationship he had with Nugent back in the day for the lesser teams. -

Because after years and years of playing shit teams in the championship and league one, we Shouid want to play the best teams in England, in the best league in the world. It adds value to winning games. Especially now we've got a strong squad. I remember when we were relegated to league one and thinking we'll never compete against big/good teams again -

Yeah that's very true! Some proper names in there. Even more of a reason to look forward to next season. -

Warnocks interviews are better to watch than his teams. Gonna miss the fella'a post match rants -
Gray's criticism is way over the top half the time. He hasn't progressed but we have had 3 new managers since in the last 3 years he's been at the club. i wouldn't write him off just yet. He's clearly talented. I wouldn't put him competing on the left side with albrighton. Albrighton is by far better, that's more of a reflection of how good Marc is for us. Puel gave him more game time but I don't think he was the manager to improve him. Hopefully Rogers can be that manager

Prefer Klopp win the league than Mr Cardigan and that soulless club. Can't even fill a semi final at Wembley -
Anyone got any news on if/when theyll be a new stand built? Would of been ideal to start at the end of this season, as we have nothing to play for now apart from the glimps of 7th. wont though
-
It's one factor. Obviously not just because of the glory hunters. But we've been in the prem for nearly 5 years now. Pre 2016, we had one of the best away/home supports in the country (including the great escape season) but since the title winning season or actually even under Shakespeare it's gone down hill in terms of atmosphere. Think even people who probably used to belt songs out back in the day have been subdued by this gradual decline. Fans who used to sit in the cop, now sit next to the away fans. It sometimes feels like the west stand now...
-
We've had great success in recent years that has a attracted fans who were supporting the likes of Arsenal, United and Liverpool etc from the armchair of there cosy homes, whiles we were slugging it out in the championship and League one. Don't ever compare us to Leeds, Villa, Sheffield! Leed's last title win was before Phil Mitchell moved to Walford... those clubs don't hold any plastic fans anymore.
-
It'll be fitting when Brendon Rodgers eventually leaves us for one of the big clubs and we have to call on the 3nd rein of Big Nigel Pearson ? Turns up at the press conference - Stringer: "Welcome ba.." Pearson interrupts: "Oh F*** Off Ian" (gets up and leaves the conference) Class
-
A combination of the Plastic fans and Mr Puel have taken there toll on the club. Think after the title winning season it was expected to have a much more mediocre atmosphere for a season or two. But by now it should of been back to its best if it hadn't been for the shambles mediocre performances under CP. hopefully we'll see us back to our best under Rodgers next season
-
Should bring Steve Walsh back. He managed to get players that were willing to buy into the ethos of the squad (right mentality and quality) - all be it, we had a few dodgy transfer windows after the title winning season, I still think you can't hide the fact that we wouldn't of had the likes of Vardy, Mahrez, Kante etc if it hadn't been for him
