  1. I think Coleman read my last post. We were finally attacking and had a good few chances. We won 3-2 in an exciting game but most of all I remember how hard the players showed they wanted to win. Schrijvers MotM with 2 goals and an assist. We can actually still play for european football if our coach lets us play like we did today that is. This is what the Europe Play-offs standings look like after dividing the current points by two before the start in two weeks: 1 Standard 20 pts 2 KV Mechelen 19 pts 3 Westerlo 19 pts 4 Charleroi 19 pts 5 OHL 19 pts 6 Dender 16 pts
  2. I actually think we will lose this time. Our coach doesn't seem to get the potential this team has and doesn't play to win. He's scared shitless and it will cost us the europe play offs i'm afraid. Let's hope I am wrong and that we can get a new coach with a set of balls next season as well. We need a new mentality in the team too, only a handful seem to be willing to fight for it.
  3. He is defo no shining light. He is the prime example of being a lazy player. When he really wants to he can be good, but most of the time his lack of determination and work rate are below par. He is very inconsistent in his performances. I would rather see him gone by the start of next season or used as 3rd choice if no other options are available.
  4. My opinion in short: Happy for the support KP gives. We wouldn't have had the same accommodations without them. Ditto for filling up the debt pit every year. Unhappy for the lack of progress overall, the lack of independence... asking for permission from people in different countries if they have time to put an autograph in between the wedding and the wedding cake is just a joke, and the lack of passion. It started off well, but now it feels like we are run by people who don't really give a shit and just want to hold on to a legacy out of respect. We could be worse off since a lot of Belgian clubs are poorly run by their foreign board... but we are just stagnating at the moment because of a lack of vision.
  5. Don't give them any ideas Bonanza 😅. We want to stay in again next season too! On topic: take De Zerbi!
  6. Simple... we have a world class coach. I really hope he stays and gets the players he wants. Time to turn the page of amateurism.
  7. I have a sub. What do you mean with season ticket cards?
  8. Congratulations Leicester City! Finally back where you belong
  9. The same board will get two teams relegated in two different countries in two years time... coincidence? I think not. Maybe it is time to get to the root of the real problem. We have nice infrastructure, but that doesn't win us titles. Points do. The decisions that have been made in the last couple of years e.g. not sacking Brys after our CEO asked for it multiple times in the last few years because you gave him a too big of clause in his contract partly put us in this mess. It is unthankful to Garcia to clean up this shit. I think it is time to make a clean slate in the board and get renown people in with experience in the footballing business. Marc Overmars is a good example at Antwerp (although he is a bit shady). Also look at Brighton and Union where they buy players based on stats and analyses. Look at Dortmund who buy great talents and make them better and sell them for a huge profit. It is not difficult to figure out what works to get a team to the top, but you need the right people in the right places for it. Let's start there shall we?
  10. We owe it too ourselves. Antwerp was the better team for sure. But we squandered all our chances. We have a good coach, no doubt, but we need a quality injection in january. I hope we can get rid of any deadwood too.
  11. The team setup looks the same with 5 at the back. But the instructions were a lot different. Out of possession we formed a compact block, in possession we played open and wide. We pushed them to their own a few times too. This we had never seen before under Brys. Defensively we were very solid and didn't leave any gaps so that they could get us on the counter. The defensive midfielders and wing backs defended on the same line as the central defenders so Club didn't get any breathing room. We had our chances but failed to score. Our coach did a great job in those 3 weeks so far and I am curious to see how they all will evolve. But we do need reinforcements in the front. Sadly we will miss Misao for a couple of months as well.
  12. Haven't you heard? we win... but they lose
  13. Individually there is quality but there is no team in the pitch. The current coach kept using Brys' system but with higher pressing, but it was the same bullshit as we have witnessed the entire season so far. We can't get in front of goal enough. And why do we play with 5 defenders against the last in the division? Let's hope Garcia is a miracle worker, cause we need a few miracles to get this group of players back on track. Garcia breathes confidence and professionalism so let's hope it brushes off onto the players.
  14. For the Thai fans, here are Suphanat Mueanta's highlights from last cup game against Eendracht Elene Grootbergen. He left a good impression.
  15. There is more to it than meets the eye apparently . He quit Tel Aviv cause he didn't feel safe in Israel. He quit Watford for personal reasons because his daughter had a brain tumor and wanted to be with his family. At Reims he quit because his daughter passed away. So I would get it if he couldn't give a 100% back then. Let's hope he does know. Does anyone know his playstyle?
  16. Which is to be expected against a team from 5th division and a midweek game. First home game I missed out on myself too this season. Anyway I hope it gives some confidence for saturday's game. We need a win against Westerlo badly.
  17. I am still not convinced of his skills. He is a very limited player. He has his speed, and yes he had to defend at OHL so he couldn't show himself fully in Belgium, but other than there is nothing else too him.
  18. No white smoke yet.
  19. If you have VPN and choose Belgium, you should be able to watch the goals here: https://sporza.be/nl/matches/voetbal/jupiler-pro-league/2023-2024/regulier/11/oh-leuven-stvv-geen-coach-geen-probleem-voor-oh-leuven-dat-kansloos-stvv-helemaal-oprolt~1687436584523/
  20. You could clearly see that Brys his spell on the team has worn off. They played liberated and with joy. The whole team played well. Defensively we never had so little to do this season as in today's match. The tactic wasn't too different from Brys his, except that we played with a 2nd striker. Some players (Maziz, Mendyl,...) showed their technical skills as well. Schrijvers even mentioned on the radio that the tactical changes from the caretaker manager made the difference... if he speaks for the whole group... than that is a huge middle finger for Brys. Which says enough. I hope our next coach is not a cold hearted stubborn white wizard.
  21. There are 65 candidates apparently. I rather have them take their time to find the one with the right profile to bring us what we need. We are looking for an attacking minded coach. Ariel Jacobs has been a manager himself for many years so my hopes are on him to select the best one. Tomorrow it is up to the players to show what they can do without Brys at the wheel. Tactical wise the caretaker manager won't change too much he said... let's hope he does a bit though.
  22. We should have gotten Karel Geraerts... he ticked all the boxes.
  23. Long overdue but it finally happened. I would like an attack minded coach for a change, we have the players for it now if they stay fit. I think fans and players alike will sigh with a big relief today.
  24. I am glad a new coach gave you fresh ideas. I hope you get promoted again and that KP seriously buys in properly this time so you can stay up too and be able to relive the best days of your club. I just hope it doesnt have to come that far with OHL. Behind the scenes things are not working out as they are supposed to. We need a new structure and more independancy and trust. We are on the right track but an evaluation every now and than by people with vision wouldn't hurt. Else we wouldn't have been in this mess right now.
  25. The board clearly prefers to pay the relegation price over sacking the coach and pay him instead. The more I hear things the more I feel that Brys is the main problem. He doesn't like to use players he finds difficult to work with (no clue in what sense), like N'dri. Our assistant manager who only just got hired quit the team. Our CEO quit the team... partly or fully because of Brys and/or how the board handles things? **** me... get to the root of this problem King Power or sell the club if you don't care... cause the fans do!
