  1. Is it just me or have others become so shell shocked in this horrible season that I’m no longer surprised or frankly overly upset by terrible individual and team performances and the domestic and European misery that come with it. Roll on next season and bring back the team and support we know and love.

  2. The best and the worst of Kasper. Amongst the top five for shot stopping but alone as the worst in the PL for defending his box or frankly organising his defence (to protect him from his weaknesses).Which are not only obvious but exploited by the opposition game after game

  3. Apart from Daka last summer’s transfer window added little to strengthen the squad save for numbers. I wish him all the best but a different approach may be beneficial in the long run. No short term fixes in January please. With an ageing Evans and weakness/ recurring injuries in that area another upcoming Fofana would not go amiss

  4. A better game for Kasper but then again many a poor corner/set piece hardly put him under pressure. Some competition would be good and hopefully Danny Ward. Will be given a chance in the forthcoming cup matches and remaining ties of the European tiddlywinks competition.

  5. City fans know what atmosphere is. Did we not take it to new heights during the title winning year? The stadium literally trembled during those matches. However a season of covid non attendance and so many lows this season have taken their toll and  fans are understandably a bit down and nervous.
It will take time and some good results to build again. But to echo as many have said the Newcastle fans were class today. Good luck in their new year rebuild. They will need it to attract the right mercenaries to get them out of trouble.

  6. Every season there is a player that stands out, delivering consistently good performances game after game. But in the following season withers and dies and within 2 seasons drops into obscurity. This is known as the Drinkwater syndrome inflicting players of the like of Delhi Ali, Ross Barkley etc. Often the sufferer and their manager fails to recognise the symptoms .

  7. Who could have predicted that his team would just implode. Desperately poor form of Cags and Evans. Ndidi and Castagne well off their best and with the exception of Daka nothing from the summer signings. With a few key injuries to boot. Yes he’s personally had a poor season but one of many who collectively make up the squad and management team.
