Cakey

Yeah few said about Fernando. Got a good record. Dan Moriety is a good call. Batting is difficult tbh Two young lads from Lancs were let go supposed to be great etc according to my mate. But couldn't get a game for them so don't say much. Harry Singh was one. aWe need steady quality players x 2. Cant afford to take another punt really. Gubbins and Sheikh both still a bit of an unknown as yet. Sheikh looks decent so far

Not good is it! Ali Farooq bowls well for England under 19s. Surely worth a look. Gilchrist doesnt get a game for Warwickshire? Bertie Foreman? He was on loan at Kent! Worth a look. Need a few in Opening bat and no 3

He can bowl mid 80s at times. Worth another season. But not been great. At his size even 80mph be decent if he could hit a length Lets see.

I can see it at times, last few matches he was better, got some rhythm, obviously his stature and left arm decent pace. Its worth a punt. I cant defend his statistics, dont wish to but I think if he actually played regularly and bowled decent length spells we may see something. Like Rehan just doesnt bowl enough. Big year for them, back them but actually give them a proper go. Then if it carries on as it is at least weve given them a chance

Varun Aaron, although didnt do much for us but was rapid.

Also heard today from a now Ex players that play club cricket County looking at Asitha Fernando as overseas, came to Notts for a while. Dont know much about him Lets see

He needs to drop down to 6 or 7 and bowl some serious overs to make any impact whatsoever, learning nothing batting at 3. He has been messed about by England but his own sake next year needs to buckle down and graft a bit. Show us then England the talent he has

Agreed. On another note Ahmed dropped by England. Fair on current form

Signed Josh Blake so he will keep. Not saying he us brilliant but seen him play a few times, tidy, decent bat

You reckon? Hope so for him. Got three keepers though. But he is excellent

Doesn't have another county to go to at present. So I was told. Youd think hed be snapped up tbh

If we can pass the follow on target declare. May force Notts into a declaration and a chase. Once weve passed the follow on target dangle a carrot

Big game tomorrow. They are beatable.

Guys I know at the club still maintain nothing in it and wasnt marked down. So someone has the wrong end of the stick. Probably County

Mystery like most things in cricket. Lewis Hill said they hadn't called anyone in and wasnt expecting any issues as hadn't been marked down. But you know he doesnt control these things. As with most things ECB related seems a mystery. If its not a feather bed on a sandy well drained test ground seems to always cause a stir but 650 v 700 no issue. A draw is to well rewarded currently imo. Nothing in the laws about length of grass. It got a bit better as it went along.

Seems to make a living playing for Jersey

Yeah great player. Brain fades prevent him from going further but id be happy if he was staying. Only my opinion ofcourse

Bowled pretty well. Hull was much better. Looks a dog of a track tbh. Why when we have picked two spinners are we playing on this?

Terrible toss to lose tbh. On and off all day, difficult conditions lose a wkt, back off.

In the squad

Poor today but id say Sheikh woukd fit best. Certainly not Ahmed thats for sure. Coukd be a brilliant 6. Gumbs looks nice a compact but maybe push a single or two, game went nowhere at all for an hour then a clatter. He has something though. Dont have to go nuts just turn the strike over.

He had injuries but his record is sound. As you say did well last time out. Lets hope he has bedded in. I think he is a decent bowler myself.

Plays for Cavaliers and Carrington in Notts Prem. Seam bowler left arm. Does well for them. Shiv Thakor plays for them also. Mo Rizwan also at one time. Alot of guys of Pakistani heritage play for them.

Decent in latter years sadly

He is very different now than he was 5 or 6 ago i agree, not sure what happened there. But seems harmless. Youd worry about him in the off season. Hopefully he has support. I used to see him about years ago very different. What was the gate on Sunday? Anyone know? Seemed to be good numbers about.
