Decent weather here today and good day out. 300 be a good score. Pitch looks green considering the time of year. However may have been wet here just got back from Spain so I don't know. But looks incredibly green for August. In fact 250 may be good

Well I will renew and the 5 guys I go with but I understand why people won't. It's the way it was done really rather than the money for me, It's one extreme to another. Previously felt it was good value or even cheap tbh but you can't just hike the price up like that. It's not enough to put me off still represents good value imo but we should have been consulted. Poor show really. But we are hooked and will renew

Sam Wood does look good I'd forgotten about him, I'm told Green (our green) is a very good rugby player also. Obviously decided to go down the cricket route, good luck to him.

I don't mind loans if it's an improvement but not sure he is. Curry Holland and Goldworthy were but let's see. If he makes an impact great. We can I think.look to get another seamer in closed season. I mean Swindells and Evans were just pointless contracts. No intention to play them at all seemingly. That must be the best part of what 80k right there

Most are fit I think. Don't know how much we are paying, not alot hopefully. He is a good white ball bowler but nothing special in red ball cricket imo Hopefully proves me wrong
-
Also signing Green on loan when they send that email is taking the piss really. We have four players on full time contracts who never play, two of them haven't played all year. Why do we need another bowler we have Holland Green, Hull, Wright, Walker, Salisbury, Scriven, Curry, other Green, Ahmed, Trevaskis and when fit Mike.

I'm not for one moment suggesting it's the only issue it certainly isn't brushing over the issues that haven't been resolved by Jarvis etc. Completely agree with much of what you say. My point really is that Northampton, Canterbury, Worcester, Durham, Taunton etc are tiny places relative to Leicester just in the City has nearly 600,000 people let alone the out lining areas. I know other counties don't really have as much competition as Leicester with Football Rugby etc but if anything it should be easier to piggy back of those sports. I see very little advertising at City. The City itself and the surrounding areas is a huge catchment so if they want cricket get down there. The business cock ups and lack of attracting a big sponsorships etc are another subject. But I think we are in agreement in the whole

Fair enough I'd say. Tigers and City get good support but County have never received the same amount of support from the people. If you want a county side then let's get down there. Won't happen otherwise. It's a big City No excuses really

I'm watching live but I hear they have a speed gun on the stream what speeds were our lads bowling at?
-
I will go. Not necessarily sit in that area, I don't mind for half hour six hours may be not.. Shoukd be a good game I think
-
We've got this. No worries
-
Four of them are South Afican. Basically sorted Visas and arranged loop holes
-
Top quality south african, he Abbott and Wheal are all South Africans but only Abbot plays for them. Other pair will or are English qualified. Add Abbas to this and Dawson and it not bad. I imagine Turner will play for England. Been in the squad. Not sure how it works? Has a List A bowling average of 17.
-
Has a very good technique Walker. I think he has ability but I've never seen him score quickly? Maybe I'm wrong
-
Bowled very well. Quick for 17. Big fella but bowls a decent line and length with it
-
Kent had a pay wall last year but was free for members. Still have to pay for their T20 but again free for members

Crowd isn't bad by our standards with a few days notice

You can't get the stream on a smart tv, I don't think. Unless I'm being a thicko. Which is probable.
-
I think that is a good call, alot of Indian guys at my club reckon the stream was well used. I've no idea myself but if it is then could be a good money spinner in the right hands. Obviously lccc are probably not the right hands. If nothing else Rehane has given us a talking point put us in the map a bit. Plus what a player to watch. Absolutely magnificent cover drive, it's worth the 25 quid on its own.
-
Then the semi on Sunday I think. They hate us don't they
-
Pissing it down. I'm in Devon not that far away bloody boiling here.
-
Which is ridiculous isn't it? Pointless.

One bit of good business we did that is coming to the forefront is Trevaskis in for Parky, Parky had a few good days but Trevaskis is the far better all round player. An excellent swap in my view. Parky had a woeful one day bowling record average of about 140 as I recall. Nice guy though. Good tryer.

That is a huge issue tbh. If we were now playing the blast in the best if the weather crowds and revenue would be improved hugely. We don't play enough cricket in the summer. Simple

It is difficult I agree and it's certainly a challenge but if you get more commercially aware individuals on.the board increase player sponsorship etc it can be done.. I take my dad who has a season ticket but he and his mates don't spend much in there. Bring their own lunch tea etc they are older I get that. However if I take my sons they probably spend more in 4 T20 games than me and my dad do all season. So it's that target audience we have ro hit. Corporate events, etc. I wouldn't think any CC makes a profit on a 4 day game. Must be impossible. I mean the crowd I sit with are lucky to get through a flask of tea in a day let alone 8 pints and a sit down lunch. But that's where the profits are. Some weekdays I'm there thinking, I must me one of the youngest in here at 55, how much are we losing today! That's not just just Leicestershire either most county crowds are similar. Very little spent in the ground. No incentive to spend when you can bring everything in yourself. Difficult to find solutions I appreciate that.
