I think if Davies can stay fit he is better cover than, Finan, Walker and Barnes. If we keep one I'd keep Davies. He can also hold a bat and field. Still need two seamers for next year.

I'd open with Evans, drop Budinger. Then bring in Swindells middle order. Rest I agree. Just think Budinger needs a kick up the arse and that may do it. Got talent but you have to respect the game and work at it.

Advantage for us if Ahmed gets an ECB contract, unlikely to move then. With 100 IPL England etc etc will only play occasionally. So that's of little advantage to other counties. He will make his money playing for England and franchise cricket. Not county cricket. Which ever county it may be.

Umar gets stick on here. However from what I've seen he is an excellent player. Technically good and can bat up and down the card. Had two terrible decisions I thiink its harsh to compare him to some of our previous flops.

I don't think we could beat the bottom 3 in div 1. May be Middlesex and Northants but Kent are better than we are imo

Yep great partnership this, whatever happens. Umar got better with time, obviously a very good player who has been playing below his level. Get him in on an English passport or similar and we have a player. Ackers is just quality. Sad miss. Should have given him whatever he wanted. Imo

Yep. Agree with above. Kent will just about stay up in Division 1. Just. They have Bell Drummond, Crawley, Compton, Denly, Billings, muyeye and Leaning in their batting ranks. So not yet. But been a good season. Big steps forward.
