  1. Aaah - a deflection FC comment...predicable...Still didn't beat us but pop away and top up your salt cellar
  2. But you didn't beat us, did you!
  3. Sorry for jumping on - you're right, the pride that runs through the fans is incredible. We never expected this this season having just come up. We may not have the most expensive squad, but we never give up even when the going is tough. We were not good today - the first half was one of the worst games I've seen for a long while but we brought on killer subs and changed the game and dug deep. Morsy is driving that belief through the team. I wouldn't say we are any luckier than other teams - we have lost just four games. Sometimes you get the rub other times you dont. Today we had an absolutely s***e ref and with a decent ref their first goal would't have stood. In short, we are just happy to be mixing it up with the bog boys - if we get up fantastic, if not - what a fantastic couple of years which we'll build on. But be prepared for a hard run in - we prepared for this last season and prepared to go again and make it a good battle
  4. Concussion sub…therefore extra sub allowed to both teams
  5. 100% agree you outclassed us - I think we did based on the second half displays but just my view :-)
  6. Just got round to reading these as got waylaid listening to Brian on Talk Sport (words fail me). Some of the arrogance and entitlement is disappointing. We hd a game plan and it worked - we always play more defensively away from home. You were by far the better first half but on balance not much between us overall and good for the point, as we were at home. You have to bear in mine our squad is worth very little compared to yours and we dont have the championship experience that you and others have, yet we are competing and holding our own against far bigger and better teams. We were not awful and our subs done what they needed to do. I still think you'll win the league and fair play, you've been the best team we've played and are in the league - your position is by merit not fluke. As I would argue is ours - if it wasn't we wouldn't be where we are or have lost the least amount of games in the league. Our boys have a togetherness that is second to none and never give up - that's rare and valuable. will we go up - who knows. Do we really care - probably not - we are out performing where we thought we would be and enjoying the ride, and proving a point that lesser clubs can compete Now we need a striker as we dont have any at present
  7. Thank you who responded - it was a lovely 22 min clap for the lad. Unfortunately we had a medical emergeny during the game where we lost the life of a fan (and not a good spectacle) and opposition fans thought it was a joke. The sooner this is nipped in the bud for everyone
  8. I'm not sure to be fair, I'll check. I think a 22 min applause would show a sign of solidarity
  9. 100% we are a football family
  10. I can't make the Leicester away game (thanks Sky) but if anyone your end can organise a 22 min clap for Ben I can have words this end
  11. That would be amazing
  12. I only posted because it seems to be tarnishing all Leicester fans with this and that's wrong.
  13. I am 100% sure he is a unique person but he isn't letting up. I have his name and where he lives and reported it but so sad that anyone mocks a death. Football is great and we all love banter but some lines should not be crossed
  14. Sorry for jumping on this forum, and good luck for the season, you'll smash the league,k rightly so. @MJDLCFCOne of our fans tragically died of Leukaemia today aged just 22 - his name was Ben Moore and was very active at the club. One of your fans has been mocking his death on social media. Many of us have reported him to the club and police. Personally I see this as no different to the Bradley Lowery incident and doesn't look good on the club or decent fans. I gather from his posts he is already banned but hopefully most fans do not think this is acceptable.
  15. Can't help but to come in as an Ipswich fan at the game The reason for the celebration was because we were so bad against Leeds. Remember we were league one last year and this year was about consolidation - we were pipped against a team worth so much more than us (Dewsbury_Hall alone is worth more than our squad) so yes to get a point against the eventual champions is worth celebrating. To me, it was a good game, evenly played and we missed some good chances. Agree about the second penalty claim (not the first) but thats the rub - we've had several disallowed. Seen some posts way more arrogant than from Leeds fans, which is tough. As some have said, we are not dog s***e, or the like. It's half way through the season and we are there on merit. Our most epensoive player is £1.5m so a bit of credit would be good I hope you go up as champions - you're a good team and deserve it.
  16. Luckily that is one of the first mid pre-season signings the club did - tie in Kieran and all his staff to a long contract.
  17. You beat me to it! our squad is as big as all the other clubs and we need to release people in January just to improve in some places. To have a squad where you bring on Burns and Broadhead shows there is depth. I'm glad we didn't get Simms - Hirst is way better IMHO As you say, we dont know if we make it. What we know is that unless we really feck up we'll be play offs and that is way way more than anyone expected or dreamed of.
  18. He is a massive grafter. he is critical to how we play - he wont be a 20 a season striker but how he holds up play and gets assists is why we have so many different scorers in the team. He was an absolute bargain
  19. We're ok honestly - just living the dream at the moment in some shock! You guys will smash the league - would love to be second ahead of Leeds just because their arrogance but this year was about survival to be honest. We rode our luck tonight, we didn't play brilliantly, but there is a togetherness with the team I have never seen before. Good luck (apart from Boxing Day)
  20. Ipswich fan in peace. Morsy wont go - Egypt haven't called him up for a while now. Suspect we will lose Burgess and Baggott (though he isn't a regular) and maybe Massimo
  21. Ipswich fan in peace. I can guarantee we are not pissed off. Our aim was conolidation after years of crap. What is happening is beyond any expectation and just enjoying the ride. That said, would love to be ahead of Leeds due to their arrogance but pretty much guaranteed survival so happy. Boxing Day will be a good game :-)
