  1. Clarifications, Qualifications & Considerations I hadn’t planned to sign in again, but given the substantial media coverage and feedback, it feels right to provide some clarity. First, no movement is perfect, and this one was never going to be. It’s impossible to speak for everyone while delivering a message that is both broad enough to unite big numbers, and yet specific enough to drive action. What is clear to me, is that there is more that unites us than there is that divides us. I hope we can all agree on is that this club needs to change & evolve.. While we may differ on the exact problems and solutions, we all recognise the breakdown in communication and trust between the club and the fans - and the urgent need to fix it. Secondly - on the van: this was not organised by Project Reset. We provided our banner and coordinated on timings, but the messages displayed were fan-funded and fan-directed. A separate campaign was run on a different thread by @ozvaldo and I believe the messages/graphics were selected democratically. Again - respect the effort and intent, rather than commenting on here how you "would" have done it. Words don't count for much - actions define everything. Finally, and most importantly, today was about those who showed up. A substantial number of us made the brave decision to demand better. To those who stood with me today, thank you. This movement was never about one person, and it cannot end here. Someone else must now pick up the mantle and build on the foundation we’ve created together. For all you naysayers, this is an open invitation - if you can do better - we're behind you & will support you. Show us. If anyone is willing to take this forward, you would be welcome to use the Project Reset name, and you would have my full support. This is just the beginning. It has to be - if we truly want to bring about real change. Viva la revolución. Over & out, for good this time.
  2. Okay guys - this is it. Forgive the indulgent final call. It's important. Tomorrow is a defining day for us as a fan base at Leicester City. How we show up - in numbers, in voice and in unity will speak volumes. We have to show that we are not passive. As a group, we must demonstrate that we refuse to sit back and watch our club slide into the abyss. Top's pretty shambolic press release (which speaks volumes about how desperate they are to avoid embarrassment), only reinforces the distance between the club and our fanbase. This isn't about one bad window or one bad season. It’s about fixing what is broken: Real accountability at the top - bad decisions must have consequences and accountability. Direct, honest communication - no more secrecy and silence in the face of sustained failure. A clear direction and identity, a vision that we can believe - be a part of, and ultimately a united fan base. This started as one disillusioned fan, and it became a movement of thousands. In less than a month, over a million people have seen our message across multiple platforms and media outlets. The response has been overwhelming. Leicester City still has a fan base that cares deeply and is ready to fight for its future. I’ve been overwhelmed by the support from volunteers - fans willing to give their time, effort, and creativity to push this message forward. For reasons that have been clear, most have wished to remain anonymous - you know who you are & I am grateful. Whatever happens next, it will be because of us. If this movement succeeds, it’s because we stood together and made it happen. If it falls short, it’s because collectively, we didn'y do or care enough. Because we chose not to act when it mattered most. It has been a privilege to bring this movement to life, knowing that we have a passionate, dedicated fan base. Remember, we must always treat each other with respect. We all want what's best for the club. We're allowed to disagree respectfully. Hold each other to account tomorrow - no silly business and no matter what, back the team on the pitch. As of tonight, I will sign off for the final time. As of tomorrow, I will return to being a husband, a father, a salaryman - and above all, a Leicester City fan. Let’s make history. Viva la revolución.
  3. This is exactly the type of empty gesture we have grown accustomed to, it only reinforces the distance between club and fans. The suggestion is that we’re only angry because we didn’t buy more players in January... There’s so much more to it than that. We back the team on the pitch. It’s your team in the boardroom we don’t trust. Time for action, not empty words Top.
  4. All reasonable points - as you allude to, they're all surface level though & that is why we really need fans to engage in the debate publicly. If we don't actively correct the narrative, we allow this misinformation to spread.
  5. That's absolutely fine mate - just do your best - if you can make it, great, if not no worries at all. For yourself and anyone else potentially interested in having a chat with Jason at Talksport, please meet outside the Local Hero at 11:15am, the side facing towards the bingo hall. Thanks!
  6. Thanks Kenny - it's a fair criticism and I've always welcomed feedback (and always acknowledged we cannot speak for everyone, all the time). We actually spoke directly with Union FS leadership to coordinate our messages and ensure that they were distinct and separate. As some have referenced, there is a risk that if this protest is attributed to Union FS and to be absolutely clear, that is not the case. For Union FS to own this would run the risk of further unfair and targeted sanctions on its members. Hope that also clarifies for you as well @sharpylcfc
  7. We have been advised not to prescribe a specific song as that would be interpreted as a targeted witch hunt. Have to leave it to fans to decide what is appropriate!
  8. Still looking for volunteers to speak to Jason Bourne tomorrow at 11:15am... No names, no faces - just your opinion being shared. Get involved! There's a few of us doing it.
  9. I'm so glad you've picked up on the 5 Dysfunctions framework, mate! I think a lot of people just think it's weird framing/terminology from me... Ha! It's very good for picking apart why teams fail.
  10. They have done a good job covering the football elements (failure to manage wage bill, lack of transfers, lurching playing styles). Not enough about the lack off communcation, engagement or accountability
  11. Being discussed on Talksport at the moment - good coverage
  12. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the full text - but the article myself & a few contributors have worked on with Rob Tanner has been published in The Athletic this morning. It is good write-up. Link below. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6133872/2025/02/14/leicester-city-project-reset-protests/
  13. Please can I have a couple of volunteers to explain our frustrations to Jason Bourne tomorrow morning at 11:15am? Be good to get some diversity of thought, as opposed to just my views being shared every time. There will be a few of us doing it and it will be on a no-name basis. Hands up?
  14. I take your point mate - but isn't this exactly the issue. When have the club ever, literally ever, acknowledged they've made mistakes? They would never in a million years accept that they're responsible for any of the above. This is why the term 'hubris' comes up repeatedly. They hide behind secrecy to evade accountability.
  15. Having spoken to a few of the leading journalists covering LCFC now, this couldn't be more wrong. It's highly triggering for them to be called out like this Why do you think they have suddenly cut-off certain journalists from interviews and tip-offs (i.e. when we were relegated in 2023 and suddenly a very prominent journalist was frozen out of the picture entirely). Don't underestimate the power we have to bring about change.
  16. Yes - agree with many of you. The press presence will be the deterrent for the club getting too involved. They are highly secretive and will avoid any unwanted attention - they know this would be a PR disaster for them. However let's be absolutely clear - stupid & dangerous behaviour should not be tolerated. We have to keep our mates, brothers, sisters, uncles etc in check. It will ruin it for everyone.
  17. RVN will have been briefed ahead of the press conference by the club. He's always been very careful with his words. It's absolutely astonishing that he hasn't tried to pour water on it.. He knew exactly what he was doing!
  18. Let's go Make sure you are loud, make sure you are responsible - and most importantly, make sure you are there. If this is a success, it will be because we all pitched in and made it happen together. I prefer not to speak about failure.
  19. Thanks for your contribution - always appreciated. We all want what's best for our club. I can see that you have also historically been critical of Jon Rudkin. Of course you should be encouraged to deal with it in the way you feel most appropriate, and if that is via supporter groups - very best of luck.
  20. This is a fair and balanced point - thank you for making it. This is why I have resisted leaning into it too much. Fundamentally, the club's footballing infrastructure is not fit for purpose - we are a club that has an annual turnover into the hundreds of millions, and yet our executives are allowed to spread their time across 3-4 jobs within King Power Group. We're a Premier League club with part-time leadership. Unforgivable. That's why we're calling for a reset - to fix the foundations & to give ourselves a better chance to operate more sustainably.
  21. Agree with everyone - we need numbers to make this work. So - for those of you saying "good luck, I hope people turn out" - I hope you will also do your bit to share the message and turn up in person. Otherwise, sadly, it's just empty words (tho of course I appreciate the sentiment). This is one of the few chances we will have to make ourselves heard.
  22. Good spot! I could lie and say 'yes'. Or I can be honest and say - it's the one that worked with the design. We're prepping another graphic shortly. Bear with us
  23. We need to keep this thread towards the top of the main feed, guys - please keep engaging with the thread so that we get maximum visibility. Further details will be announced soon.
  24. While I'm here - anyone happy to speak to the national press? They are looking for fan insight (beyond me) on why we are protesting. I have written a long-form piece that will be published in due course - I will share this with you ahead of time so that you have a warm start.
