Remember the James Bulger incident. 35 People spoke to or seen the 2 boys lead the 2 year old away and not one of them called the police despite James having cuts and bruises to his face (apparently) I know its in a different country but it tends to be the same everywhere, people have an attitude of 'not my problem'. There have been incidents where children have been 'lost' and when anyone approaches them the parents have come on scene accusing them of being perverts or attempting to abduct thier child. As for keeping it in the news, I cant blame them one bit. If my children were to go missing I would do everything in my power to find them. I would probebly still be in portugal, having said that my children are my life and under no circumstances would I have left them on thier own. I hope that Madeline is found and I also hope that nothing degrading has happened to the girl. Her parents will have to live with whatever consequences for the rest of thier lives and unfortunatly they put themselves in that position.
