  1. great ride by Cal. I see he's staying put next year - not such a bad thing, I don't think the supposed move to Ducati would have worked. Will be good to see Johnny Rea on the Honda, might have two brits on the podium!
  2. not a clue, technophobe!!
  3. there's ways and means, he won't stay unless there are some radical changes to the bike, it's not a winner any more. did you see the front end give way without any warning at the weekend? needs completely re-designing.
  4. the cause of Ben Spies crash at the corkscrew was a bit worrying, swing arm failure. lucky the other yams didn't suffer the same fate. new swing arms all round next week!! Rossi's crash was also spectacular. He won't be on ducati next year!! Yamaha calling.
  5. any luck in uploading it. would be great to adapt this to city
  6. went to the ricoh arena last night to watch Japan/Honduros and senegal UAE. games weren't brilliant but the Japenese support was fantastic, singing, chanting, banging drums etc. One song in particlular was brilliant, never heard it before, but can't bloody remember it now!! Got loads of cheers whenever they sang it. Did anybody else go and video it?
  7. Did you see Ben spies after he crashed in qualifying? Was staggering as if he'd downed a bottle of whisky! Hopefully he's fine, would like to see him get a result. there are a number of Racesafe Marshals there, mate of mine at the corkscrew, apparently the IO at the corkscrew is also Racesafe. By all accounts the Americans are impressed with the standard of marshaling from the brits. We're the best!! Ill health ruined my season, best I can hope for is BSB at Donny and Silverstone, plus remaining EMRA at mallory
  8. yes, you may be right. seems like he's desparate to get a full factory ride, he'll go anywhere. Stoner tamed it, but the other bikes have moved up a step. shame he can't get that yamaha ride
  9. Agree, was excellent. this class is now better than the 125's in my opinion, and i'm sure it will get better. Cals bad luck continues, almost punted off at the first bend, but brilliant recovery. one of these days...........
  10. at least the weather held out. looked good on the box. marshalling not looking good for me this year, not be3en in the best of health and got an op at the beginning of july which will prevent anything for a month. might do the classic meeting at mallory before though. how many bike marshals are there on this forum?
  11. bugger. wish i was there cal 1st, rossi 2nd will do me
  12. British GP this weekend. should be good as long as the weather holds out!! was due to marshal, but ill health got in the way!! reduced to watching it on the tellly. Win for Cal?
  13. The Band, after reading of levon helm's death
  14. good bloke isn't he? CRMC is great, love to watch them, especially the outfits. never marshalled for them - my loss! might have a go this year, when are they at mallory/donny? are they short of marshalls, most clubs seem to be now, everyone wants the 'glamour' of BSB etc. Doing EMRA, North Gloucs and some bsb's plus moto gp and WSB. funny, enjoy club racing the most.
  15. It was good to see Rossi on the podium, it was obviously the track conditions which helped, but maybe it will give him more confidence in the bike.
  16. very sad. pure road racing (street circuits) is always going to be dangerous, but some riders prefer it. Guy Martin for instance, very rarely rides on circuits.
  17. feel sorry for colin, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time last year with the simoncelli incident. wish him a speedy recovery.
  18. blimey!! should also be marshalling there too! done most GP's and world superbikes since 1987, missed last year but back again this year. should've been marshalling at mallory last sunday for ng club, but rained off!!
  19. Another good ride from Cal Crutchlow last weekend, wonder if we'll get a british winner this year. can't remember last one, but it was bloody years ago!!! Another disaster for Rossi, bike or rider? Moto 3 was a crash fest, unfortunately had the track at it's worst - damp patches at crucial points. popular thread this, isn't it!!!!
  20. yes, unfortunately your right. Shame more bikes haven't entered the premier class, obviously too expensive. still, should be more interesting with the addition of the less powerful bikes (CRT?) to fill the grid. great result for Cal Crutchlow, even though he is a Sky Blue!!!!!
  21. can't find an existing thread, so aplogies if there is one already. good race yesterday, looked as if stoner was going to walk it at one stage, but all credit to lorenzo - he stuck at it and it paid off. stoner was complaining of 'arm pump' (when the tendons swell), whether it was just an excuse i don't know. most dissapointing was Rossi's performance, another poor result on the Ducati. hope he gets it sorted, need another front runner, plus with his past success it would be a shame to end his carreer as just another runner in the championship. on another note the new moto three class looks good, being 250 cc four strokes, they sound better that the 125's. begining to whish i hadn't given up marshalling for the gp and world superbikes this year. hmmm, might sign up again!
  22. I'm in SK2, and the atmosphere is sometimes shite, but it is difficult to hear L1, the reason being the away fans are facing us whilst L1 area generally facing them when they sing. Don't why we don't all sing 'When you're smiling', but quite honestly don't think most fans know the original tune, ends up being chanted in a monotone. Maybe Birch should lead a sing song of that tune for a couple of games, or maybe it should be played over the tannoy, the original I mean not Jersey Budds flat attempt. of course the atmosphere would be better if we could stand. don't agree with this bollocks that it's not safe, make it season tickets or members only, anyone 'misbehaving' would get banned. did you hear the bloke saying reduce prices to get more in? do the maths 24,000 at an average of say £ 30.00 equates to a gate income of £ 720,00. He suggested £15 for adults £10 for kids, so say an average of 12.50 makes 32,000 capacity income of 400,000, figures may be out, but owners won't be pleased! by the way, never left early even when being thrashed.
  23. Heather Mill's parents bought her a new false leg for christmas. it wasn't her main present, it was just a stocking filler.
  24. so, bikes really are safer than elephants
