Didn't see it with Amartey or any other player beside Just a feeling. His shooting technique definitely needs improvement though. i found him pretty confident as a sentinel and has a natural authority that can really, really help the team. Naturally it's a gamble and the lad is young, but it can't be worse than now. We're not getting any quality midfielder (or player) in january and anyone who's thinking the contrary is deluded. After the catastrophic display of the first half season, I doubt there are many daredevils willing to come to a club seemingly in a free fall. It's YouTube it even makes Jeffrey look good I don't know I've never seen him play so don't get me wrong I'm not saying he's a bad player, it just seems a very young age to expect an immediate impact from, I'm not expecting us to sign Zidane but the pull of the PL alone you'd of thought would be enough to get a competent top level player in to improve things and add a bit of depth. Still we will see, as I've said elsewhere I'll be miffed if this is another botched signing. Club need to get their act together most of our new players are struggling to get in the team never mind contribute anything worthwhile.

Even more when this formation showed its limits for months and is leading us to the bottom of the table. I genuinely thought it was the coach's job to decide which formation would suit the team best. it is apparently not the case and I have a hard time to make anything out of it. Changing the formation in the middle of the season is like changing horses in the middle of the river. It is possible, but very risky. Especially when the players don't want a change. To force a new system on an unwilling, already rattled team, that, with the matches coming thick and fast, would have no time to practice it thoroughly, could be a fatal mistake. Ranieri, being a very experienced manager, is certainly well aware of that risk.
