Finding it difficult to rate players

Ok, so like most people I'm enjoying the good performances this year and have not enjoyed the non-performances and tonkings and that we've had from United/Chelsea/Liverpool, etc.

 

But, I'm finding it hard to criticise the players too much. I look at Amartey and think he's a below average Premier League player, same with Jeff. Mousa looks about average from what I've seen, and is in the same bracket as Albrighton and King. Fine for a lower mid table team.

So I have a post match ponder about what I've seen and I can't decide how to rate player performances, same when I'm at matches, Are the players a 7 out of 10 for us as a lower mid table team, or a 3 out of 10 cos we're champions?!

 

I'll have a yell and a moan at, say, Albrighton, and then a mad internal debate that goes something like   "He's awful, wouldn't get near a top four team...but we are a top 4 team (top 1 team, in fact), yeah, but that didn't really happen, did it? It did? Wow. So...he must be good, but he's playing like a championship player...but that's how he always plays - so he's a good, solid championship player 7 out of 10 performance each week. But this is the champions of England he's playing for..that performance was a 3 at best"

 

Maybe I've got too much time on my hands and should find more important things to worry about, but its driving me a little bit mad
