Muz Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Because leicester wasn't playing me and my Grandad decided to go and watch Wednesday it was more to watch Luton actually beacuse of there 100% start. Well me point is Sheffield Wednesday brought in 13 players in the summer and only 1 player from the season before started that match. All this crap about Leicester got to settle in and then well be fine well Wednesday are playing some good football and look like they would hammer us if we were to take them on! They equally have a new side and there manager has them playing fine so why cant Micky!
Mark Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 They've always played decent football from when i've watched them. Every team plays better football than us though, i'm struggling to think of a worse footballing team. Micky cant do that because he's too busy thinking the reason they are not playing well is because some of the players havent had a pre season and are not up to scratch. 6 games into the season???
Hullfox Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Think that you'll find that last season, Chris Turner couldn't get his team to play a scrap of decent football, Wednesday were woeful and most of his players were his choice. Through luck or good judgement though, the board stuck with him and he's turned it around at the moment.
rotherhamfox Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Alot of my mates are Owl's fans and they say Chris Marsden is the one who's pulling all the strings for them.
Guest freund Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Apparently over the last few seasons Adams has brought in about 30 players and got rid of about 50. Surely that can't be good for any team?
alex Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 He got rid of 50? Really? Mostly he was forced too, for those who fail to remember, our club was in REAL ****ing trouble two years ago, thanks to Taylor...

Admittedly we should be doing better with the side we have, give it slightly longer and hopefully we'll be ok.

TrickyTrev Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 A round of applause for Mike Newell by the way who has got Luton to the top of the division with one of the smallest budgets in the division and despite again having to sell his best player at the start of the season (emrson boyce to Crystal Palace). Thing is, I really dont want to see Luton and leicester in thye same division next season.
