Changing original posts later

I recently started the "Loan Watch" thread in the LCFC sub-forum section.

 

Now, I'm wondering whether there is an option to alter the original starter post beyond the usual "point of no return", since with other posts, you cannot change their contents past a certain period of time (24 hours?).

It's simply to give an update instead of having to prolong the thread by a new post every time a new player has gone out on loan.

 

Any chance this could be done with starting posts?
