Hi Team,

This is a topic I don't expect to be widely used but I'm appealing to our community in a similar spirit to the our thread on depression to give people (and me for reasons I can't go in to) a space to discuss attachment issues.

I'd be really interested and grateful to hear from people who grew up diagnosed with attachment related issues and those who live with, know or parent young people affected by this, as I'd like to learn about real life experiences rather than the range of stuff that appears in literature.

I know what you're talking about, old boy, but I have no idea how common it is to be diagnosed with such a thing.

Do you only want to hear from people who have had an official diagnosis? You may get a few folk coming back to you if you describe the disorder and they recognise the issue in themselves

I’m looking I guess to exchange thoughts and experiences with folk who have come across the condition in any circumstance really, as I’m looking to broaden my practice skills in this area in let’s say a ‘real world’ fashion. Dan Hughes is a particularly good author and I’m ploughing my way through one of his texts in the hope that it will help me support young people a little better.
