Leicester City Women cruised through to the second round of the Women's FA Cup after demolishing Solihull Ladies with another double figure scoreline.

City dominated throughout, with the game all but over after the first twenty minutes as Leicester hit the net five times. Lianne Norman was first on the scoresheet with only three minutes played, a fantastic header that took a deflection on its way into the roof of the net was quickly followed by Leanne DeSilva's low powerful strike into the left hand corner after charging down a goalkick. Norman converted a great cross from Caz Toone to claim her second and a super finish from Kath Glass (pictured above right) made it four as a stunned Solihull could look on in despair. Toone added to Solihull's misery with a great strike on 20 minutes.

Efforts from Aimee Chivers, Laura Morris and Rachel Williams all brought about saves from the Solihull 'keeper before Chivers produced a great strike from 18 yards to take City's tally to six without reply.

Leicester continued to pile on the pressure in the second half, Toone, Glass and Jade Radburn all came close, but against the run of play, Solihull found themselves with a consolation goal on the hour after breaching the City defence and shooting high into the net giving Aimee Cattell no chance.

City came back strongly after conceding only their second goal of the season and in a devastating 8 minutes spell, Radburn carved out a hat-trick for herself, the first coming after latching onto a great through ball from Cath Fox. Then a Leanne Griffin cross was converted with precision before the third, and City's ninth, came after the Solihull 'keeper failed to hold onto Griffin's shot and Radburn buried the rebound.

Griffin then set up Chivers with ten minutes remaining to take City into double figures and after scoring six in the previous game Chivers claimed another two before the final whistle to wrap up another impressive display.

Leicester City have now been drawn at home against combination league side Lichfield Diamonds on November 13.
