MC Prussian Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 I don't know how much you like History. It was one of my favourite subjects at school. I just recently discovered that William Penn, founder of the Province of Pennsylvania, and a Quaker, was good friends with a certain George Fox. George Fox, Quaker founder, as I've found out, was born in Drayton-In-The-Clay (now known as Fenny Drayton), 24 km southwest of Leicester. George Fox on Wikipedia How many people remember Fox in Leicesterhire and is there some sort of memorial place, statue, birthhouse or something?
Sigma Posted 28 December 2005 Posted 28 December 2005 Slightly off topic but William Penn has a University named after him in south central Iowa (USA).
MC Prussian Posted 28 December 2005 Author Posted 28 December 2005 And there's a George Fox University in Oregon.
