Grassroots Refereeing - ref-finder.co.uk

No, this is not a whinge at last Sunday's Referee, far from it.

Having been a Grassroots coach and now a Referee, I'm speaking from an experienced viewpoint here. I think I've spotted a potential hole that needs filling and being somewhat a 'techy' person, largely due to what I do for my day job, I've created an app/website to fill it. So lets get to it, I see dozens of posts on Facebook groups in which clubs have not been appointed a Referee and then Referees who are looking for a game. So how do we bring those two together so we don't have Referees going without and teams having to Referee their own matches, we all know how that often ends up. So I created Ref Finder. Ref Finder allows Referees to register, set a radius from their home location in which they want to travel to Referee and then wait for clubs/teams to post their fixtures. Once they do, every Referee within their set radius gets an email informing them of the fixture, they simply reply and the club then assigns the Referee to the fixture. Contact details for both are then shared with each other and the specifics can be arranged. It's as simple as that.
