Just wanted to link that preview as it is one of the most accurate previews of a Leicester game I've ever read. And it's posted on a Plymouth site as well!

Plymouth Argyle take on fellow Championship strugglers Leicester City in a crucial 6 pointer.

Vital Quotes:

Plymouth Argyle Team News:

Plymouth Argyle play Leicester City at Home Park on January 24th in a re-arranged league game that was abandoned at half-time on November 1st because of a waterlogged pitch, Plymouth were leading 1-0 when the match was called off.

Plymouth Argyle are hoping to improve their recent home form against Leicester City who sit below them in the Championship.

Argyle’s last two home games have included a 1-1 draw against Norwich City and a 3 nil loss against Leeds United in front of the Sky tv camera’s. Argyle’s last home win was in the middle of December when Crystal Palace where beaten 2-0.

Argyle only have two senior strikers in the squad in Mickey Evans and Nick Chadwick having just sold fellow striker Scott Taylor to MK Dons for £100,000, so Plymouth manager Tony Pulis is hard at work trying to sign a striker or two, maybe in time for the Leicester game.

Right sided midfielder David Norris has been Argyle’s best player in recent weeks with his usual all action, high energy performances. Playmaker Akos Buzsaky is coming back from injury but the Leicester game looks to have come too soon for the talented Hungarian who is rumoured to have been watched by some Premiership clubs.

In central defence Matt Doumbe and Elliott Ward have forged a good understanding, with Ward having just signed on loan from West Ham United for a further month to give a boost to Pulis’ small squad.

Right back Paul Connolly missed last week end’s away win at Crewe where Hasney Aljofree came in at left back allowing versatile Antony Barness to move across from left back to right back to cover for the absence of Connolly. It is hoped that Connolly will recover in time for the Leicester game.

A Plymouth win against Leicester would move the Pilgrims up to a respectful 16th position in the Championship and still with a game in hand on most teams.

Plymouth: (from ) Larrieu, Connolly, Doumbe, Ward, Barness, Norris, Wotton, Nalis, Capaldi, Evans, Chadwick, McCormick, Aljofre

Player to watch: David Norris

A livewire in the Plymouth midfield.

Leicester City Team News:

Leicester City have never been out of the top two divisions and are now stuck in their worst ever position, increasing the pressure on manager Craig Levein.

Scoring has been a major problem. Twenty-nine goals in 29 games has meant 11 draws and nine single goal defeats.

They recently signed England Youth International Matty Fryatt from Walsall to add potency to their forward line but although he scored on his home debut against Cardiff it wasn't enough.

Leicester have some capable players and a scintillating 4-2 thrashing of high-flying Sheffield United in November emphasised their potential. But they are criticised for being over cautious, particularly away from home where they have been notoriously dour at times.

Apart from Fryatt, who was Walsall's top scorer over the last two seasons, others to look out for are England Youth International winger Ryan Smith, on loan from Arsenal, Icelandic International Joey Gudjonsson who missed Saturday's defeat and has been excellent in midfield all season and teenaged right-back Richard Stearman who many believe is destined for the Premiership.

Leicester will not have Peter Gilbert, the young left back signed from Plymouth in the summer. Gilbert made four appearances but never seemed fully fit, lost his place and was quickly diverted to Sheffield Wednesday where he was eventually signed by his former manager at Plymouth Paul Sturrock.

Ironically, Leicester's left-back spot has been major problem. Various players have filled the role without success and the fans favourite for the position, Republic of Ireland youth international Alan Sheehan is rarely selected.

Basically, Leicester's is an emerging team of young internationals whose average age is much lower than last season's outfit. Leicester's sole aim this season is to avoid relegation.

Player to watch: Matt Fryatt

Leicester's Matt Fryatt might prove a handful for the Plymouth defence.

Yeah, it was a very accurate summary of the current state of play with City, sounds like the reporter was a FoxesTalk regular.

One thing in particular that does worry me though is...

"Right sided midfielder David Norris has been Argyle’s best player in recent weeks with his usual all action, high energy performances"

... :sweating:
