MC Prussian Posted 1 February 2006 Posted 1 February 2006 From the free city newspaper, METRO VANCOUVER: "Soccer legends visit in February The Legends of Soccer, an all-star event, featuring former English Premier Division players, is coming to Vancouver Feb. 17 to playa four-team Round Robin tournament. Warren Barton (Newcastle), Paul Walsh (Liverpool/Spurs), Kerry Dixon (Chelsea) and Paul Allen (PFA) will take part in the event held at the Pacific Coliseum." Worth a dabble? And maybe get a group pic, as well? Barton started out with Maidstone United (any info on that, James?) and now acts as a TV pundit. Liverpool legend Paul Walsh is now working for ITV and SkySports. Kerry Dixon, who once scored 51 goals in 116 games for Reading, still is Chelsea's 2nd highest scorer behind Bobby Tambling with a total of 193 goals. He's doing match commentaries on today's TV, as well. Paul Allen played for West Ham, Tottenham, Southampton, Swindon and Millwall before retiring and is now doing commercial stuff for the PFA.
