Fox4ever Posted 9 February 2006 Share Posted 9 February 2006 The answer to which we will never know. 1) Was Newell just using us to get a better contract at Luton...........or 2) Did our board not offer him a long enough contract or sufficient funds to do the job. newms Posted 9 February 2006 Share Posted 9 February 2006 I imagine our finances may have come into it. I would guess he weighed it up and felt our finances were hardly better than Luton's. Added to that the fact he would probably want to bring many of his players to the club he would have felt it was a tough task. That was probably more important than the size of the club and stadium. I'm sure getting a new contract from Luton was a plus but i'm sure it would be very similar to the Leicester offer. I hope we keep kelly atleast to the end of the season now. There is likey to be more and possibly better managers available in the summer. I don't believe we will go down so there is no need to worry! leicesterChick Posted 9 February 2006 Share Posted 9 February 2006 It is hard to really say what the right answer is. We probably will never get a right answer either.
