Jordan Posted 3 March 2006 Share Posted 3 March 2006 They instantly wiped away 70 years of history at Austria Salzburg, changing their colors and re-branding them "Red Bull Salzburg." Minardi F1 Racing is no more: Hello, "Scuderio Toro Rosso." Jaguar Racing? Nope--"Red Bull Racing." Sure, MetroStars have only been around for 10 years (and that's been a crappy decade), but c'mon... we're Red and Black and we're the METRO. How can I support a team called Red Bull? http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/article.php?article_id%3D5552
Head Honcho Posted 3 March 2006 Share Posted 3 March 2006 Stand by for The Red Bull Millenium Dome then! Anshultz are the owners of the Dome. Anshultz also own Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Fire, Los Angeles Galaxy, Houston 1836, the Manchester Monarchs, five European Hockey franchises, Hammarby, Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Sparks. Why have they decided to sell up? Have the rules on team ownership changed? Don't know if your aware but in the Europe you are not supposed to have interests in more than one team! Jordan Posted 3 March 2006 Author Share Posted 3 March 2006 Anschultz is selling, simply, because of this: $$$$$$$$$$ Anshultz Entertainment Group will still have ownership rights to Metro's (or Red Bull's) new stadium that will probably be completed in 2008. act smiley Posted 6 March 2006 Share Posted 6 March 2006 Surely you expected something this dodgy from them, considering what else they've been up to recently?
