The Football first 30 mins

During the first half when we were playing some brilliant football dont you think alot of the players looked like Premiership quality!

When MA's was in charge David Connolly could not get in to the game at all and he was staring to look like a waste of money. But in the two games that ive seen with Dave Basset in charge and Sgt Wilkonson David Connolly looks like a great player.

In the Ipswich game i thought he was the Man of the match! His movement his holding up the ball and general play was excellent. He ooks good now because the ball is on the floor to him.How can you exspect somebody of his size to be heading the ball and winnig arieal battles?!

Although his goal was via Route one that was the only time we really hit it up in the air!

We also showed some passion and desire during that match something we lacked.

But i think the problem with us is tht we play the ball around adn get it out on the wing but then the failure to get the final ball in is costing us!

I dont know if its bad luck but whenever the ball seems to drop in space in or around the box we are never there to pick it up!I think that is something we need to work on we need people anticipatting where the ball is going to land!

Thanks

Yeah we did look like we could hold our own in the premier league, if we played like that for 90 minutes, but we don't. Thats the problem. Of the players on display against stoke, I felt only TIatto, Connoly, Keown, Makin (when on form), Nalis (when on form) Scowy, and Gudjohnson could play well in the premier.

Stewart could evolve into a good player, but I think the likes of Gemmil, Dublin, Pressman are holding this team back. Give Logan, Wright, Dawson, Petrescu a chance.

I think you are labouring under a misunderstanding. The "them" I refered to in my post was the women's team.:);)

City started the game in whirlwind fashion as they forced a resolute Stoke side back for the opening 20 minutes. Nalis and Gemmill were orchestrating a slick passing game for City as their crisp, incisive distribution left the visitors chasing shadows.

Sums it up quite well I feel. ;)
