lumberjack Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 After a decent 45 mins of football, i went with cheery spirits to get a half time beer. some good banter with the sunderland fans, a good sing song with the L1 faithfull, and some decent first half football. standing in the concourse enjoying my half time beer, talking to some friends, then all of a sudden i was grabbed by 6 stewards, had my arms bent behind my back, beer went flying as i was forced out of the ground, round in to a little room, where all my belongings were taken and searched, after which i was thrown out of the ground and told a letter will be in the post. LEICESTER CITY YOU ARE A FOOKING JOKE
Guest Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 Did they tell you why you'd been thrown out? I don't think you're the first person this season to be targeted on the concourse.

Jonesy_rules Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 fans have been warned, but unlucky mate, u banned or waht?
Guest Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 I've found a post "Bloody Joke". Sounds like the same thing to me. Hope it helps.
Oli Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 I saw loads of stewards in L1 concourse looking for some poeple i think. Then I saw 2 poeple get thrown out. It is a football match not bowling, you should be able to stand in L1!
Ash Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 I hate the way this club treats there fans !!!! We need to talk to Birch about this , He is the only one who will help us !
Guest Daniel Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 I seen one bloke being lead out by about 3 stewards at the start of the second half, and lead into the tunnel near the away fans, was this you? #### disgracfeul.
Foxes_Trust Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 Following the case detailed in the other thread there is now a defined appeals process to ensure correct procedures have been followed. Questions you need to ask yourself. 1) Were clear warnings given to you prior to being approached at half time? 2) Have you any fellow fan witnesses about your behaviour & that of the stewards? While the Trust does support the removal of fans if their behaviour is threatening, violent or racist in any way, for those fans who are removed for supporting their team we want to ensure the correct procedure has been used. As demonstrated in the previous case, the sentence was halved following our involvement & the appeal process.
Ash Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 Has any one got a contact number, email ,address for Birchy ?
Guest Posted 16 November 2004 Posted 16 November 2004 Has any one got a contact number, email ,address for Birchy ? 36297 Your best bet is to contact Peter Jones, who is the fans liason bloke. Think the e-mail is but I could be wrong.
kerryh Posted 16 November 2004 Posted 16 November 2004 This is a joke - you need to talk with Homer(???) he also got chucked out for standing at the beginning of the season but got it over ruled. Good Luck.
Wilson Posted 16 November 2004 Posted 16 November 2004 Yeah Homer was standing during the game (he sits at the back somewhere in the south stand) and they chucked him out and I don't think he was allowed to go to the next few games but after that the decision was overruled and he was allowed back in.

You'll probably get a 3 match ban, like i did!
Broken Heart Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 The world's gone mad. Last season myself and three mates were threatened with ejection if we didn't sit down at Dundee. Fair enough but consider we were in the back row of a stand that held 2,500(?) with about 1,200 in it, we were not obstructing a passageway, anyone's view, even an ad board or behaving in a dangerous manner. We simply prefer to stand and watch a game. Most grounds we do this if we can get to the back row. I am not brave and told the steward that if something went pear-shaped inside the ground they wouldn't see me for dust! I would have to bloody stand to get out anyway. How long before clubs having us shuffle on our backsides from seat to seat before we reach the stairs to exit. The steward (and a nearby policeman) seemed genuinely embarrassed at asking us to sit down but the command had come from a steward supervisor, presumably bitter at the crap wage they get so they try to spoil everyone else's day! You're just lucky you can enjoy a beer, we're still in the eighties up here!
Jonesy_rules Posted 18 November 2004 Posted 18 November 2004 Unlucky, like i said in an earlier post, i also said that fans have been warned! and it's a clear message that all fans have been told and it's also a safety message in the match day programme! I'll have to say that it's not the stewards choice, it's a safety aspect, and unless our fans sit down, we face the threat of having a section of the ground closed, most likely L1 area, as it's near the away fans, and if the problem still exisits then other sanctions will be taken!
