MC Prussian Posted 28 June 2006 Posted 28 June 2006 As you might know, I just recently relocated back to Switzerland, after 14 months abroad in Vancouver, Canada. Somewhere in March/April, Phil Keaggy, considered one of the world's most gifted guitar players, had a gig announced in Burnaby, just East of Vancouver. I'd have loved to see him there because I know his talent from the Dispatch live album "All Points Bulletin", where he played two absolutely awesome solos on "Passerby" and "Prince Of Spades". But due to some other commitments, I couldn't go. Bummer. Now, just last Friday, as I read the concert listings in my regional newspaper, I come across this little ad about a concert in a Church just five minutes from where I live. Guess who the guest is... ... Phil Keaggy! On top of that, luck comes into play. Of course, I was now eager to see him there, given the opportunity. But, just yesterday, I get a call from the local newspaper, asking me if I wanted to do a little review on Keaggy's concert! Incredible! I hope that, with a little bit of luck, I'll be able to conduct an interview as well... That would be so swell! (You have to know that I started as a freelancer for the paper about 8 years ago and have written several concert reviews in that period) I still can't believe how lucky I am right now! Does anybody remember who the guy on the OS messageboard is, who has his own website on music artists? Was it loz? Could be of use for him, as well.
