Guest Daniel Posted 19 November 2004 Posted 19 November 2004 The only people who abuse chavs are those without much of a life, either that or plank pushers that wear black and do drugs.

Guest Daniel Posted 19 November 2004 Posted 19 November 2004 I agree, i sometimes wonder about Barton and his lonely life, he seems to come on this forum only for abit of banter, arguments and cause about of shit, never seems to talk about Leicester, give it up Marlon.
Macca4lcfc Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 Also remember a few years ago when mcintyre uncovered showed the chelsea boys going to meet the lcfc fans in market harborough well andy frain lives round the corner from me and knows me old man etc - they are some fooked up people! 36601 yeah i know a few people that were involved in yhat and they were trying to get me to go cos i live in harborough but i didnt think it was the best idea. Glad i didnt from what i heard about it
TrickyTrev Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 Someone once said to me : "If you have to say you're hard then you aren't, you're just a tw*t"That also relates to clothes, if you wear labels like Burberry (chav tartan), Aquascutum, Rockport etc you are buying into the image that that brings. You can say you only buy these labels cause it is nice/smart but the associations with the names are known and by wearing them you are buying into that whole side of things. Another point on the clothing, anyone that spends £180 on a jumper/jacket need to get out more, especially when its something that 100's of other people will be wearing! Fashion and being cool isn't labels, its wearing clothes that are yours (metaphorically not literally), not having the same labels/clothes as every other person around you. 37281 I agree with this. I'm not trying to pretend I know wy people would spend extotrtionate amounts of clothing on a label everyone else wear's, I just know that whatever the reasons are they are stupid.
Wilson Posted 21 November 2004 Author Posted 21 November 2004 But surely if someone has earnt enough money to buy something like that then they can spend the money on whatever they want?
TrickyTrev Posted 21 November 2004 Posted 21 November 2004 But surely if someone has earnt enough money to buy something like that then they can spend the money on whatever they want? 37899 Yes they do, I am not going to stop them wearing what they want and spending their money however they best see fit. Just seems extremely stupid to me.
Wilson Posted 21 November 2004 Author Posted 21 November 2004 Fair Enough really but something you spend your money on may seem stupid to someone else?
Jonesy_rules Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 Someone said they pity those that are chavs and proud, i'm neither a chav, townie, goth, sk8r, grebo, tramp,. loner! I DON'T LABEL MYSELF OR GET LABEL, i'm an individual!
Wilson Posted 22 November 2004 Author Posted 22 November 2004 Really though no one can be an individual, you may not follow trends etc but there will always be "groups" etc who dress the same way as you.
Vocal-Legend!! Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 thing is. Most of the (i think im ard) chavs wear all burberry/rockport etc....... cus its expensive and gives them the wide boy image.....but really it all costs £8 from donnington market. So the clothes are ultimately as fake and transparent as they are.
Guest Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 Really though no one can be an individual, you may not follow trends etc but there will always be "groups" etc who dress the same way as you. 38676 If anyone else dresses like me I pity them!!! Seriously, you're right, but some of us don't want to be pigeon-holed. I'd like to think I can get on with most people, and not feel ostracised because I'm not in some kind of 'uniform', or that I can't talk to a person because they wear a particular brand. Unfortunately, the way this thread is going, I'll be on my own any minute now!!
HarisFox Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 I'm with you on this Lisa! Tolerance.... don't be prejudiced!
Guest Daniel Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 I get on with all kinds of people, even homosexuals. It doesnt bother me what somebody is or what they wear. Its whats on the inside, unfortunatly not many people on here are like that, there all too involved in the anti-chav thing. Abit silly really.
Wilson Posted 22 November 2004 Author Posted 22 November 2004 As long as they are a nice person I couldn't care less what they wear.
BartonFox Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 I get on with all kinds of people, even homosexuals. 38735 Oh good God, what the hell kind of statement is that? <_<
Guest Daniel Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 I get on with all kinds of people, even homosexuals. 38735 Oh good God, what the hell kind of statement is that? <_< 38766 'what the hell kind' What the hell is that bad english all about? Alot of people dont get on with homosexuals. I do.
BartonFox Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 BM by making the statement regarding homosexuals you are highlighting it as if they are a different species.
Guest Daniel Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 BM by making the statement regarding homosexuals you are highlighting it as if they are a different species. 38775 Stop looking for arguments yet again, you really are a fool.
HarisFox Posted 22 November 2004 Posted 22 November 2004 Actually BM... BartonFox makes a good point there. It really sticks out in your post and the connotations of 'even homosexuals' are that you considered it commendable on your behalf that you actually make the effort to get on with them. It's like saying... I get on with anyone, even blacks. OR I get on with anyone, even the disabled.
