We say in the past! in the 90s, wigan athletic All i know is the rugby get more than you get.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 scowy, i dont know where you getting this ''promotion sliding away'' we're still top of the league you gimp, in your case it looks like were gonna lose every game from now on muzzy, you got over 30k a week in the prem, so your saying to me that you have 1/3 of fans that just went for prem football? disgrace
Guest Daniel Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 Do you not know how to use capital letters Wigan_Rentboy or havn't you got to Year 6 yet?
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 i didnt know this was an english test? just thought it was an internet forum full of bitterness meself

Deary me, come on Wigan boy, shows you can't construct an argument by being like that. Maybe you need to mature a little first, then I may take your comments a little more seriously. Fact is, you have failed to score in the last 3, and by today's performance, beginning to lose grip. Being top in November doesn't mean you'll win the league, or have you not grasped that? I remember a few seasons ago when Watford were top until Xmas - They lost their way after Xmas and failed to even reach the play offs, that was with a decent squad too.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 because we've failed to score in 3 games, but still top of the league (amazing), you think thats it? no chance for wigan? your only saying it because i support wigan, you have a grudge against me but i would like to see what you'd say if/when we do go up comparing us on 1 game doesnt mean we wont go up, or have you not grasped that? another thing, we're not watford oh and another thing, those grapes must taste sour eh?

Especially with Ellington seemingly struggling with an injury. Wigan without Roberts/Ellington - Impotent. There is no reason for me to be bitter - You've come on here, you're the one resulting to personal jibes, shows you can't handle the argument.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 cant handle the arguement? the stuff i've come back with is 1st class with you avoiding some of it, which i can understand so what other games have you seen us play?
Guest Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 Bloody hell, we got a draw, anyone would think we'd been played off the park and took a right old beating.
Scow Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 cant handle the arguement?the stuff i've come back with is 1st class with you avoiding some of it, which i can understand so what other games have you seen us play? 37758 First class? Hmmm, you've baffled me there. I can't see what I have avoided either, oh dear. Leeds away - Highlights from other games this season.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 we outplayed leeds in the second half, beating them 2-0, and you think we werent good? well, you know what they say, good teams still win when they play bad and what highlights are these scabby, do enlighten me

Highlights give you a feel of how well a team is playing, not perfect I know, but still useful in gauging how well a team is performing. This division is extremely poor. Sunderland are 4th, that just further supports the idea that this year's championship is dire.....
Muz Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 Attendance Wait up boys. We should be honoured. 10,924 turned up today thats the 2nd most at home this season. Not even 11,000 laughable. We get more at reserve matches.

Guest Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 Who cares about Wigan fans, to be honest. Most of the ones we saw were of primary school age, like a lot of clubs in that area. As soon as they're old enough, they bugger off to bigger and better things.
Guest Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 what was leicesters average crowd in 1988? 37794 Calendar year, 1987-88 season, or 1988-89 season?

Craig Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 give me both, please 37798 Wigan was 3,700ish and 3,100ish Leicesters was 10,100ish and 10,600ish And for the record... Man Utd's was 36,000, and Arsenals was 28,000ish Shows that football is increasing in popularity. And that we're still more supported than you, EVEN back then.
