Guest Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 music to my ears B) 37804 Ooh, get you.....
Craig Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 And while you were getting 1,800ish in 1994, we were getting 16,000
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 and now your only getting 6000 more, whilst we are getting 9000 more and you have a vastly, superior history to ours, and you have also been in the prem which obviously would of got you more fans, and yet some of you take the mick out of our crowds? i rest my case.

Your attendances should rise.

Your attendances should rise. 37818 Yep agreed
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 what division was you in last season?
Craig Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 what division was you in last season? 37821 Premiership. But in 1994 we were in Div 1. And you were in Div 3.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 you just said you have always been in the same division...? you have more fans because you are an older club, dont have 6 top prem clubs around you, your a city and not a rugby town, been in the prem, cup finals etc so what is your point?
Craig Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 My point is that we're in the same division as we were in 1994, you're two higher. Simple really.
Muz Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 you just said you have always been in the same division...?you have more fans because you are an older club, dont have 6 top prem clubs around you, your a city and not a rugby town, been in the prem, cup finals etc so what is your point? 37823 Someone is very jealous. And is making excuses
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 excuses? its facts and where does jealousy come in this? do you even know what your talking about at times?
Craig Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 you just said you have always been in the same division...?you have more fans because you are an older club, dont have 6 top prem clubs around you, your a city and not a rugby town, been in the prem, cup finals etc so what is your point? 37823 We're also not doing well in the league, and you're top. As for rugby, well i think you need to reconsider that. Wigan Warriors average attendance is around 10,000 Leicester tigers average attendance is 16,500
Muz Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 excuses? its factsand where does jealousy come in this? do you even know what your talking about at times? 37826 More than you if you think you're gonna to win the league :w00t:
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 wigan warriors are the most famous and succesful rugby club in the world, so its hard for a football team to get crowds in this town and i think you need to reconsider their average attendance plus, they are in the top league for the sport they play, if we were, our average would be higher than theirs i dont see where your going with this
Scow Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 2001 population census (Leicester) 279921 2001 population census (Wigan) 301415 You have a larger population, larger catchment area, smaller attendances. You're competing with other big clubs around your area, but those in Wigan, who see the team are actually doing well, would be more likely inclined to go along and watch some local football, surely....?

Plus, you're the one who dragged rugby into the argument.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 well i did not know we had 300k blummin eck scowy, we have come along way in such a short space of time, but the crowds havent risen as quick as the club has, and some of you cant see this also as you said, many big clubs round us, and we all know you cant just swap teams i'm annoyed as anyone about the wigan public, they have a good team that plays good football on their doorstep but they're too stupid to see this of course, we get the usual dead heads that come out for the big games if we do go up, we'll have them all next season, and maybe one game god forbid i'll lose my seat to one of them, but its only good for the club
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 craig, i only said we're a rugby town... but not for long
Craig Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 craig, i only said we're a rugby town...but not for long 37843 And i was proving that we have a very sucessful rugby side too. And cricket side at that. Wigan are a big club now, you don't get as many as us, and you must be envious. But to be honest, thats all slightly irrelevant really, you don't attempt to get behind your team! Thats the main problem.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 we're not a big club at all one more thing, does getting behind your team win you games? get you 3 points? NO
Guest Daniel Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 we're not a big club at allone more thing, does getting behind your team win you games? get you 3 points? NO 37859 It helps a huge amount.
Muz Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 we're not a big club at allone more thing, does getting behind your team win you games? get you 3 points? NO 37859 Yea it does fans spur players on. Not that Wigan players will know that they probably dont even notice the fans
Craig Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 we're not a big club at allone more thing, does getting behind your team win you games? get you 3 points? NO 37859 You're top of the league, you have bags of money, you have a nice stadium. You're big.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 20 November 2004 Posted 20 November 2004 so if we sang more at home, we'd have a 100% percent record in the league now? hey, nice idea
