Guest Gist Posted 6 August 2006 Share Posted 6 August 2006 No. We need more in the midfield. Not less. 4 3 3 will just encourage more hoofball. Hume could help back in Midfield if needed although that wouldn't stop the hoofing.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 6 August 2006 Author Share Posted 6 August 2006 Until we encourage Stearman, McCarthy and Johansson to play the ball out of defence like Kenton was doing yesterday, 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 will have the same effect. Long ball. With an extra body in central midfield in a 3-5-2 and less players on the wing there will be less incentive to hoof the ball down the flanks. Guest Gist Posted 6 August 2006 Share Posted 6 August 2006 I agree, keep the ball on the floor everytime any of the three players you just mentioned got the ball it was just launched up the field and the thing is if we hoofed the ball and actually got something out of it I wouldn't mind but most of the time the ball was going straight back to Luton. Also it is too predictable and easy to defend.
Steven Posted 6 August 2006 Share Posted 6 August 2006 Either we keep our current 6-2-2 or go 3-4-3.
