The last one wasnt planned or anything, it was just set up a matter of days before the game
Teeno Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 We talked about this on Saturday forn the Reading game but it may be to late then.
Stuliasz Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 To be honest, I still don't think there would be enough people willing to sit in. I'm against the move more than I am for it, but I think sitting in would not be anywhere near as powerful as possible other methods of protest. I admire your persistence but I don't think you are going down the right path in terms of protesting here.
Guest Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 Something visual, that can be seen in the Directors box. That's what we need.
Leicester_Mad Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 have a massive massive banner that covers say the whole of L1 or the whole of a block of the kop or something, and it can move all the way round the ground
Hullfox Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 have a massive massive banner that covers say the whole of L1 or the whole of a block of the kop or something, and it can move all the way round the ground 41259[/snapback] what happens when it gets to those who support the share?
davieG Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 I think you would make more of an impact if you bombarded Tim or Macey with 10000 No groundshare emails, not sure it would help the business short term but they would certainly get the message. :w00t:
BLUEKESTREL Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 Our Banner (in the family enclosure) was a full single sheet (bought especially for the occasion!!!! and I still dont think you could see it from the kop!!!! Sit in was a waste of time, the amount of people who said they agreed with us as they left the ground was unbelievable but they couldn't be arsed to stay as it was too cold!!!!! Before the game in front ofd the main reception area is the only place to do a protest!!!!
Guest Daniel Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 I think it would be better there, as the players come in, we'll put the banners up.
Oli Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 I personally don't want to give up but I think that its basically a done deal and it will take a hell lot more than a sit in to stop them. I think its time to face reality.

Is anyone going to the open meeting on Thursday, we are so it may be that we can sort something out whilst we are there?
Jonbluefox9 Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 Everyone says that it wasn't publicised well enough but I heard a piece about it on Century and Radio Leicester.
TrickyTrev Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 It was definately on Radio Leicester, they were talking about it in the concorses and it was posted on the message boards npt to mention word of mouth. I think it is fair to say it was reasonably advertised. I hope they get all the people who are firmly opossed to protest at least the we can gage a true reflection as to how many are really oppossed to the plan.
Jordan Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 If you're serious about protesting, here are two good ideas: 1) Arrange a gathering outside of the stadium BEFORE the game. It'll cut down on your pre-game drinking, but if you feel strongly enough about this to protest, you're probably willing to forego a pint or two. If you don't have a big banner in the stadium, chances are most people in the stadium aren't going to see it. But as people walk towards and into the stadium, they'll see a large gathering. And fans can also pass out leaflets, flyers, or ask for other fans to sign petitions. 2) If you get a lot of people willing to show their disgust for the groundshare proposal, as soon as the opening kick-off is made, get up and walk out. This one's probably a lot more riskier and some people may take it the wrong way, but it'd be a signal to the club's board that you feel they've lost touch with the support. From my perspective (admittedly far away from Filbert Way), I'm not convinced that the groundshare proposal is a terrible idea. But if you're going to protest, you've got to make sure your protest is seen by as many people and covered by as many media personnel as possible WITHOUT being portrayed as troublemakers. I don't think sitting in after the game is over, when the majority of people, media and staff at the stadium are getting ready to leave, really drives the point home unless you've got A LOT of people sitting in--and I'm not sure many people want to do that.
Wilson Posted 29 November 2004 Posted 29 November 2004 I'd be willing to hold a protest outside the reception.

I wiatched one macth where The Roma fans only showed up 15 mins intot the game. The Tv companies could not get enough of it.
