Neither have more pace, more knowledge, more ball control etc etc. Alongside weso, johnson will be able to play HIS game more, than trying to cover for the other chickens. Agreed. He's played in THREE promotion campaigns, they've played in none between them. That must count for something, even among the more cerebrally-challenged sections of our support...
