andrewsnaith Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 Did anyone watch the Real Madrid game last night? I thought it was a vast improvment of there performances last season and look a lot less likely to get caught on the break or at set pieces. Diarra and Emerson looked good in midfield, Van Nistelrooy and Raul linked up well and even Beckham got involved in more intricate play. I think they will definately be a big threat this season, Capello looks like hes sorting them out.
Ricey Posted 28 August 2006 Posted 28 August 2006 Saw about 15 minutes of the first half and it nearly sent me to sleep. Average football at a slow pace with no passion and a silent crowd bar those stupid horns. Needless to say why I didn't watch the second half.

andrewsnaith Posted 28 August 2006 Author Posted 28 August 2006 Sounds like Italian football to me Well that only reason it sounded quiet is because Sky don't have the main audio feed and instead use another 'backup' audio feed which sounds quieter (so they dont get the spanish commentary etc). Hope you get what I mean, i dont think it descirbed it very well! I personally love La Liga but i do admit i can see why it is not everyone's cup of tea. Back on to the game, i thought the first 15 minutes were ok but the second half was more hectic as they got desparate to grab goal. I can see Van Nistelrooy grabbing a lot of goals this year if he continues to play like he did in the prem.
