End of an Era

Trevor Benjamin (Lowen) tonight ended his Love Affair with the infamous Goals team Cocktail Wizards Football Club tonight.

Benji helped the Wizards achieve their goal of staying up in the premier league with a string of consistent performances and some neat finishes.

18 months ago, the Wizards were struggling for players and I asked Benji if he could help us out. The fact that he couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo didn't really matter as the whole team was tripe. But in the past year, I have seen this lanky git turn into a man, his finishing has become a lot more complete, and his all round game has improved so much with clever close ball control, great vision to set up other players and also getting back to help defend. By Benji playing for this team i have seen such a vast improvement in his playing ability, his strength, his vision and also his willingness to work off the ball.

Congratulations on helping the Wizards through their most successful campaign and Era, with two League Title trophys to boast to your uni mates, Congratulations on keeping us up in the premier league and congratulations on having to put up with me!!!

Best wishes for the future, and when you are back in the summer you are more than welcome to make cameo appearances in the future
