New England Fox Posted 12 September 2006 Posted 12 September 2006 the americans, ent gona know wot hit them soon, there paying more than half less than we do and there going mad, kent wait to see there petrol war I think youll find its already just as much a problem over here as it is back in the UK. When I first moved to the US last year the avg price of gas was around $2.10 a gallon. In the past few months it has been as high as $3.20 a gallon. Its currently at around $2.80 which is still around a 35% increase on last year. This mainly due to a combination of the iraq war, but more importantly, a lot of the Oil Refineries in New Orleans being knocked out of action by katrina last year. Now you can all argue that the US has cheaper gas so its not as important. But you think for a minute how screwed you guys would be if your petrol prices went up 35% in a year.
