lildave3 Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 After hearing a few people call him James Wesolovski, i just wondered is it pronounced like that or is it Wesolowski. I prefer the latter
syston_fox Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 The latter is how its pronounced. Basically its as it looks!
Knighton Matt Posted 27 September 2006 Posted 27 September 2006 The latter is how its pronounced. Basically its as it looks! The former is how it SHOULD be pronounced though. The 'w' is pronounced with a v sound in Eastern Europe. Hence why the true spelling of vodka is wodka! But yeah basically everyone pronounces it like the second version.
lildave3 Posted 28 September 2006 Author Posted 28 September 2006 Except Chris Kamara and My dad :pinch:
gilesyboy Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 Based in NZ I very rarely talk to anyone about the chap but I pronounce the 'low' bit like you'd say 'ow' say if you hit your knob with a hammer or something. Then the other day I was talking to an english based mate and he pronounced it 'low' like 'swing low sweet chariot etc'. So I want to know, am I wandering around sounding like a pratt?
Ozfans Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 I'm related and it's pronounced Wes-o-loss-ke
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 I'm related and it's pronounced Wes-o-loss-ke Sounds good. Tell that to the Sky commentator, it does sound like he gets thumped in the guts halfway through!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 28 September 2006 Posted 28 September 2006 i thought it was Wes-o-lough-ski As in Loughborough?
