Foxes_Trust Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 In which case it seems to have gone up £3m in under a month from the figure I saw being quoted on here by the FT (apologies to the FT if I've misquoted them). It hasn't, not sure which part of the Fox Summer Special that came from, I have it in front of me here and it says (re the "mortgage") "£15M, £18M whatever it is". Currently the debt to Teachers is somewhere between £16m-£17m, you could add an agreed £2m bank overdraft facility in total debt terms. The figure hasn't significantly changed only added to be interest on the mortgage (as that figure increases each year while in the Championship) Furthermore despite all the knockers who plead for more "outside" signings which are virtually bound to be non-assets considering we have nothing to spend, our young players are getting more valuable with every day's experience. How much more is Kisnorbo worth than nine months ago...most of £2m? Sunderland have already offered £1m plus extras for Stearman so that's £3m plus. If Weso keeps getting games in instead of getting injured his price will only advance, Porter is worth something where two months ago he was worth nothing, Logan the same and so it goes on really... Very true & exactly why the policy of the Board to create a much younger squad than under Micky's reign (which Levein & Kelly have both actioned) is the right one in the long term. Take that £17m debt but consider first that that Belvoir Drive's worth £8m at least now and secondly that the team £10m at the very least and we've got the Walkers as an appreciating state-of-the-art tangible asset plus anything the team's worth over £10m. What we need more than anything is not an opportunistic investor" ... But you have further demonstrated why our club is an attractive investment
cisono Posted 30 September 2006 Posted 30 September 2006 Because I think we're not paying all of it, just the minimum or something like that. I might be wrong. That would be really poor debt management
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 You have to stop to consider the fact that our board is an incompetent, complacent set of buffoons. Ambition, progress and forward thinking are horribly absent whilst stagnation and excuses are all the rage... but the 'spectre of administration' they cry. Yes People's Hero I generally tend to stand side by side about what you always have to say with regards to the current plight of our club. The Board are inept, so I suggest they continue to try and contact Mr Mandaric to enable him to takeover at the club.
