Jordan Posted 16 December 2004 Share Posted 16 December 2004 I saw the Pixies last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC... excellent. They've returned from a hiatus of about a decade and have sold out 6 shows in New York this week. They put on a flawless set. If I had to rate it on a scale of 1 to 10, 10. Pixies Rock!! 47384[/snapback] Hehehe They were very popular when I was in 6th form, but I just couldn't get into them at all. "Velouria" is one track I really cannot listen too, but it was the one played over and over again in the 6th form centre!! I do feel quite bad, because they are highly acclaimed and I should like them but they just don't do it for me!
TrickyTrev Posted 17 December 2004 Share Posted 17 December 2004 I have seen them lvie a coupleof times this year and they are amazing. Frank Black's voice is just so powerful, it completely knocks you off of your feet. They aslo get through so many songs in a short space of time! Debaser and Monkey's Gone To Heaven are my favorite tracks.
Alexikokopops Posted 17 December 2004 Share Posted 17 December 2004 My favourite song is Mr Grieves, on the best album (Doolittle). Doolittle > Surfer Rosa
