Teeno Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 I have been speaking to a lot of Kopite's recently who are all concidering moving to L1 over the festive period. At the Reading game 8 or so lads from my school went to the game with it being Kids for a £1 and sat in K, 5 of them enjoyed it so much they have just brought 1/2 season 1/2 way up L1 (2 of them weren't even Leicester fans before). Shows how the club can profit from games like that. I'm really hoping now that more and more of the Kopite's will move over to L1/K so that next season we can try and bring back the good old days we had at filbo, and concentrate on making that section as loud and atmospheric as possible. You know it makes sence btw please don't turn this thread into another L1 vs Kop thread

I'd like to see the top half of the east stand becoming the new standing area if it ever gets approved that way the singing can compete with the awayers, spread around to the kop whilst being in no ones way..
Scow Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 I'm still hoping that the club decide to swap the Kop with the Family stand. I can understand that it would cost a bit more for policing/stewarding, but it can only improve the atmosphere. Forest have their away section below the home fans. So if they're allowed to do that, surely the club can place the Kop next to the away supporters.
Oli Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 I am going down during the week to move my season ticket to L1 from the Kop. I ahve sat in L1 every game except one this season, sitting in a spare seat next to my mate, but me and BM are going to move to 2 rows from the back, on other side of the isle furthest away from the away fans.(If you get me). Sat there last game, it was quite good.

Wellman Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 Whenever i look up to L1 everyone is standing around chanting songs, teasing the away fans etc... and this is what we need in the Walkers. We have settled in now, lets try to make it our ground and not welcome the away fans! Their only seems to be a handfull of you up there, but since the first game of the season, the numbers there have increased I would like to see the Kop and family stand moved around as this would previde a much better atmosphere. This is all to do with health and safety though, hope it'll be ok though.
Wilson Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 I want to move to L1, probably wait till next season.

Guest Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 The only reason I don't want to sit in L1, is I like to watch the game from behind the goal-line. Oh, that and the undesirables in L1 of course!

The number of times I have to keep telling these young ones to sit down, boy it does my head in. They just spoil it for everyone. If they want to sing they should move to the KOP with all the riff-raff and leave the East Stand to intelligent grown up connoisseurs of football like myself.

Guest Daniel Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 Or maybe you should go to a Rugby match?
Teeno Posted 20 December 2004 Author Posted 20 December 2004 Or maybe you should go to a Rugby match? 48156 Or sit in the directors box
MADLEVEIN Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 im a st holder in block and must admit that watching the forest game from behind the goal was weird if the club changed the family enclosure with the kop i would definitley move . but at the mo l block is the best place to sit.
davieG Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 Or maybe you should go to a Rugby match? 48156 Been there, and cricket, basketball, American football, hockey, rugby league. Keep coming back to football as nothing compares.
davieG Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 Or maybe you should go to a Rugby match? 48156 Or sit in the directors box 48158 Been there well not at the Walkers, over at Filbo Street, in fact sat and stood in every location (no not every seat) in the ground. I go back to the days when you could walk all the way around the pitch at half time and move from one end to the other all standing of course.
TrickyTrev Posted 21 December 2004 Posted 21 December 2004 Not my cup of tea, I do actually like to concentrate on the football and have never been that bothered by the atmosphere but I do hope you sort it out between yourselves. I am sure it would be better for the players and the fans if the vocal supporters were n one large mass pitting their voices together.
