Craig Posted 28 December 2004 Posted 28 December 2004 I want to single him out for praise today. He gets loads of stick from a lot of City fans because of his goal scoring record, well today he had 0 chances, and was my MOTM. What does that say eh? He works his socks off and actually gives me the belief that while he's on the field we may actually create something and score. Levein was mad taking him off today, shocking.
Ash Posted 28 December 2004 Posted 28 December 2004 He's the only player who want's to do something good for this club, he might not have the best goal scoring record but he does play a big part in our attacking play's !
Anish Posted 28 December 2004 Posted 28 December 2004 He tries his hardest and I'll give him that. But our style of football doesn't suit him at all - we just punt the ball long and expect him to win headers against big centrebacks - which ain't gonna happen. I still have a few concerns with his finishing and positional play, I thought Morris did much better than Connolly when he came on. Morris was in positions where he could actually cause problems for their defence, whereas Connolly tends to drift wide or deep to receive the ball - and that isn't gonna get us anywhere.

I know it was difficult up there by himself, but with his ability, I expected better. I can't question his work rate though.
