I used to like VOD quite a bit... used to watch it whenever it was on. It's not been shown at all here for three years now, which is surprising and disappointing at the same time. Perhaps I should invest in the DVDs.

We don't get any. We have a BBC Franchise channel - BBC Canada - basically a company pays the beeb rights to use the BBC name and buys some content from them. Great little earner for the BBC I imagine. They buy other content too - they have to by law anyway, TV content must be 40% Canadian (so we get a lot of sh/t programs mixed into a few good British ones). There's also a couple of other channels that pay for BBC content (PBS in the US - who broadcast to Canada too, and TVO here in Ontario... they buy the odd comedy/drama). TVO plays A Touch of Frost from time to time, which I will go out of my way to watch. Other than that, there's not much at all - the CBC (Canadian BBC without a license fee) plays Emmerdale and Corrie, Doctor Who and very occasionally some others - but very rarely, mind. The long and short of it is... we have one digital cable channel that's 'dedicated' (as they can be by law) to showing British content and a couple of others who buy the odd program for rebroadcast. Not enough, in short.

Don't think i could live without English TV If it's American, we get it... unless it's an HBO series (the best of the American networks for new content, supposedly) then there's no chance. I do watch Family Guy from time to time... not watched PB... but I avoid Friends. Friends over here is on 10 times a day at least... I don't like it (talk about milking it) and it's on far too frequently. It's enough to drive someone nuts.
