Collymore Posted 28 December 2006 Posted 28 December 2006 DJ dies live on air Listeners to a familiar Cumberland radio host's morning show were shocked to suddenly hear dead air, an open microphone and a co-worker's plea for someone at the station to call 911. Chass Offut's on-air death was confirmed Tuesday by WTBO station manager Richard Cornwell. Offutt had been an on-air personality at Cumberland radio stations since the late 1950s. He was the host of a popular late-night rock & roll program on WCUM in the 1960s.
