Details at a later date.

I've booked the days off with my new job. I may be helping out a couple of days. If I'm on the door and you don't look old enough I won't let you in. :D A Leicester season ticket holder may swing it if proof is shown. :D:D

......I shall be manning the door at the Leicester Battenburg Festival.

Entrance is free.

What if you really, really love Battenburg, and would make yourself look like a right pig if you attended, which you would because you really, really love Battenburg?

There's no need to feel any shame at the LBF. Tressle table after tressle table stacked to the rafters with Battenburg - and you'll be amongst friends.

Is that how you spell tressle? Or is it trestle? Or tressel?

Ooh I could wrestle a trestle...especially one covered in Battenburg.

I'll be there......

Not to worry if you don't like beer. There is a Cider and Perry section as well as speciality wines. Also The caterers have been pursuaded to server bigger portions of food (curry etc) and have agreed to help with the clearing of the tables. (less work for me) CAMRA members free entry and there are plenty of beer-bellied men there for the ladies. :D

It's the man who would be taking me to the beer festival that's my main concern. Thanks.

Final festival meeting tonight and I've volunteered my services for the four days. I may regret it. I may be on the door some of the time collecting the monies and saying 'Have a nice day' when people come in and 'Haven't you got a home to go to' when they leave. Feel free to come and say hello. You have to be over 18 though.

Some members of the Leicester Students Real Ale Society were at the meeting offering to help out.

Students?

Offering to work?

For nothing?

Is this a rare event?
